Katies POV:
We landed back in Velaris, some of the books with us. The short break over. The city was still asleep, and the early morning sun cold in the spring. We hadn't talked much, just packed what we needed to bring back. Caspan had wish us good luck, and my mother had told me to come and visit when things where a little more stable. When ever that would be... Galad held my hand, his eyes stared of in the distance. I had been told about the fate of Rhys mother and sister. And that Tamlin had save those wings for so long... Hiding them away... My mother had not know, she had never entered the study until we all did. And to see Rhys like that... I had never been afraid of his powers, but in that moment... No room was big enough for his powers, no room could be.
"I..." Galad started, waking me up from my thoughts.
"Yes?" I said back. None one of us wanted to go inside.
"Do you want to take the tonik again?" He asked. I hesitated, so much had happened in the last three days...
"I don't know..." to take it was to remove all hope, even if is was so small that if barely existed. And to continue without was riskful if an attack was going to happen... But it could still take time... Years...
"I understand if you want to. And if you where... And Hybern..." He didn't finish.
"I am not sure if I want to start again right now..." I said. "But you are right... If they attack..." I didn't finish. For as we were standing out side talking, Azriel landed, the spymaster looked at us. Shadows gathered around him, Galad let go of my hand.
"What is happening?" Galad said.
"I need a drink..." Azriel answer and walked inside.
He left when we returned the wings... Galas send me.
Anything about Hybern? We entered the house.
I believe so. They all was gathered in the dinner room, Azriel sitting down, a glass with liquor in his hand. Mor sat at his side.
"Hyad was found on our shores this night. Dead." Az said, emptying his glass and pouring up another "Burned with Faebane, and ashwood splinters in all wounds..." Galad squizzed my hand, the scars in my back and hands started to hurt. The pain from the injuries coming back.
"Did he have a Family?" Rhys asked. And I nodded.
"He had a Husband, he... He is a teacher in the Western school..." I said, "They where talking about taking in a orphan student..." We had been on some missions together in the last years. Hyad had been a good spy, and had talked about leaving to spend more time at home.
"I have already inform Keaton..." Az said, the bottle empty now. "I have never lost one in servis like this..."
"We will make sure that his sacrifice will not be forgotten." Feyre said.
"I send him to his death by sending him to Hybern." Az said. And under me the floor disappeared, I had been at home, playing around about a future life... While Hyad had been tortured and killed...
"Have the other courts any spies in there?" I asked, still holding Galads hand, afraid of falling down in I would let go.
"I have asked them to call home any spies. But we where the only one that had any there." Az said. "Hybern is preparing for war. That is the last information Hyad manged to send me."
"We need to learn more..." Feyre mumbeld. "But why now?"
"We have some information, Tamlin has been writing notebooks for years. They where found after..." Galad said, summoning the piles of books we had brought. "We already know that he had some relations with Hybern."
