We hear a sharp knock at the door and Andy's mom comes in. I straightened myself and held out my hand.

"A pleasure to meet you Mrs.Strucker. Thank you for saving me." She shakes my hand a little hesitantly and my heart breaks a little. But what did I expect? We are on different sides.

"Your healing quite nicely. Do you have accelerated healing?"

"I'm not sure. I don't think so."

"Well you might. Andy do you remember the time you got shot?"

"No not really." He says.

"Well a couple days ago Y/N mutant genes spiked. Any reason why?" I locked eyes with Andy knowing exactly what she was talking about. I shook my head subtly no. He shook his head back at me.

"No, nothing happened. Maybe her getting shot was the reason of the spike." Andy replied.

"Ah well then you're all fine. I'll leave you two." Caitlin looked at us with disappointment and headed towards the door. Right before she walked out she turned away from the door and looked at me. "Whatever happened was radiating heat. As hot as a supernova. Be careful Y/N." Then she walked out. I looked at Andy worriedly.

"Should we have told her?" Andy said looking concerned.

"Andy......I know she's your mom but we are on different sides. She can't know. I'm afraid not even Reeva should." Andy looked at me shocked and I continued speaking. "We don't know what it is or what we can do. I have a bad feeling anyways. I just don't want her to know."

"Are you having second thoughts?"

"Sometimes. You?"

"Maybe." We're silent for a little while and Andy makes his way over to my bed, kneels down so his eyes are at the same level of mine and holds my hand. "The one thing I'm certain of is that I want to keep you safe. We can do that here so, we stay. That's how I look at it." I scoot over on the hospital bed and he slides in next to me holding me tight.

"We should figure out what happened Andy. Supernova level heat is hot but it's in my mutant genes. Who knows what we can do?"

"Me and my sister can do the same thing although with you it felt different. I felt more complete and almost too powerful."

"Andy do you think it's because your sister wasn't there? Like you felt so much power that maybe if she was there she would've balanced it out."

"I don't wanna talk about her right now." He says getting a little angry which to me made him look even more attractive.

"I know you don't Andy but we should at least try right?"

"You said we shouldn't tell anyone so we won't. We can't trust her. I can't. At least not like I used too."

"Okay Andy whatever you want." I say breathing in his scent and burying my face into his chest. He rubbed my back and kissed my head.

"Can I have it back now?" He says.

"What?" I ask him confused.

"The pain you took from me. I want it back."

"No."

"What do you mean no? It's mine."

"It doesn't have to be. It doesn't have to be just yours."

"Fine. Then let me see your pain. Let me have your pain."
