Normal POV~
Yami plopped down onto one of the resting chairs with a heavy sigh. Training had been difficult today, and by now, he was sweating bullets and his muscles were slightly tense. Even though his preceptor warned them about this early on, so they could catch up on those unfortunate days they missed, most people were having a hard time taking down the obstacles and the wooden dummies. But at least blade-aiming was easy enough...
Yet, there was something else that caught him off guard, and he couldn't quite place his finger on it.
"Hey, kid. Are you all right? You seem thoughtful," a strained voice asked beside him. Yami looked over at the albino and smiled.
"It's nothing. I was just thinking about today's session and how hard it was..." Bakura hummed in acknowledgment then shook his head.
"No, there's something else. My senses are telling me you feel uncomfortable."
"What?" The pale boy tilted his head and arched an eyebrow.
"Is it Lizeck? I know she has creepy vibes, but I had to give her a partner-"
"N-No, it wasn't Lizeck..." Yami cast his gaze down. "Atem and I are going on a date today, and I'm really excited about that, but all of the sudden I can't help but feel nervous, almost as if something back was going to happen..."
"Something bad? Huh, that's strange..." Bakura hummed in thought again then frowned.
"Is there something wrong?" Yami asked.
"No, I don't believe so, but it isn't the first time someone's felt this way." The albino looked around for a bit before leaning closer to his student. "Listen, Yami, I'm going to tell you a little something-something, you mustn't tell anyone about it unless obligatory, got it?" Yami nodded confusedly.
"All right, in the west part of the village, it is rumored that a seer lives in the tumbled ruins. People who said they have visited the seer, Marik, claimed that he accurately foretold the future. Perhaps you should try and pay him a visit?" Bakura suggested. It was Yami's turn to frown.
"But... he's just a rumor, isn't he?"
"Some say he is, others truly believe in Marik. Then again, it depends on you to decide whether or not you believe in him," the albino stated before standing up.
"You should get home now, kid. You don't want to be late to that date of yours." The older man gave him a wink before walking away. The pale boy furrowed his brow as he blushed. Everyone was winking at him today...
After putting his blades away into a secured bag, he headed out of the building, deciding that before he went to his date, he'd take a shower. He doesn't want to smell awful during an important event.
*** -Earlier that day-
"Excuse me, young lady, could you tell me where the Pharaoh's chambers are?" Aknadin politely asked a servant girl. The brunette nodded and gave him the directions. He gave her his thanks and smiled, but before he left, he slipped a small bag into her basket of laundry then went on with his day. After a few minutes, he finally reached his nephew's door. Aknadin took a deep breath, made his eye seem teary, and made himself appear tired. He was practically a master in the art of deception, if you hadn't noticed. And so, he knocked on the wooden door.
"Come in!" A voice shouted. Aknadin pushed the door open.
"Pharaoh Atem?" The old man spoke softly. Atem looked up from his desk, his eyes narrowing once he saw him.
"Oh, hello, uncle. What bring you here?" Atem spoke in an uninterested tone. Aknadin used his Millennium eye to access his mind, noting that he was still angry with him.
