Normal POV~
It's been about four days since they've left their home to declare war with the Domino kingdom, and so far, Atem hadn't been talking to anybody, he just walked in silence with an indecipherable expression. Heba tried talking to him multiple times throughout the week, but the older male didn't budge. Many questions lingered in the younger male's mind, but perhaps this one, in particular, would make his brother talk.
"Hey, Atem," Heba sighed understandably when he didn't get a response.
"W-Where's Yami? I haven't seen him anywhere with us? Did he stay behind?" Atem's body tensed up and he looked away, the thought of Yami hurt him more with each passing day, and he couldn't help but wonder if Yami hated him for his mistake.
"Did... Did the Pharaoh tell you why we're going to war?"
"No, he just waved me off as always. What happened?" Atem let out a heavy sigh.
"There's something about Yami that I didn't tell you about-"
"Oh no, don't tell me he's from the Tumakoi tribe! No wonder he's so stealthy!" Heba said with a look of realization.
"No, he's not from the Tumakoi tribe. He's the prince of Domino," Heba's eyes widened drastically, shock clear on his face.
"He's the what now! And you love him?" Atem glared at him.
"Yes, I... I love him, and if you have a problem with that, you are welcome to leave me alone,"
"No! I mean, I accept and support you because you two have a cute connection going on. I'm just surprised that it was able to work out..." Heba said with a small smile. The older prince looked at the ground.
"It almost didn't happen, he seemed to hate me at first, he gave me the cold shoulder and all, but then we started to become friends, and you know the rest," Heba nodded.
"Well, if you guys kept that secret of Yami being our enemy," Heba used quotation marks on the word enemy, "then how did the Pharaoh find out?" Atem scoffed and crossed his arms.
"Ammon, he somehow spied on us and told the Pharaoh. He will pay for ever thinking about opening his mouth!" The older boy angrily said, the familiar surge of magic coursing once more through his body.
"Atem, calm down! You must remain calm!" Heba frantically exclaimed, his inner self completely terrified of what his brother was capable of.
"Fuck, you're right..." Atem shut his eyes tightly then opened them again.
"I-I am?"
"Yes, I need to calm down and think of how to rescue Yami and stop the war!" The younger male hummed in thought.
"I've got no clue how to stop the bloody war, but, there is something we could try." Atem raised an eyebrow and listened to Heba's plan.
