Normal POV~

"Corbin?" Anger fueled up his whole being, but disappeared the moment he recognized that the knight wasn't his lover, he couldn't just say Corbin was his and order the girl to go away.

"Oh, Ya- I mean, prince!" The knight said softly, looking at him instead of the girl.

"Who's that?" He asked. Corbin turned and smiled at the mysterious girl.

"This is my girlfriend, her name is Ava." Ava grinned and waved at him.

"You mean soon-to-be wife, Corbin? I just said yes to your proposal."

Pro-Proposal?

"Sorry, Ava, you're right. But I must get going, I'm on duty right now, I'll see you later."

"It's all right, Corbin. I'll... I'll give you the day off to spend time with Ava. I'm going to head home,"

"But, my prince, I am in charge of you-"

"I'll get another bodyguard. Just have fun." Yami was sure his voice would crack if he didn't stop talking. After a fond nod, Yami turned and walked away, head hung low, the box gripped tightly in his hands.

"Young prince!" Yami sighed when a knight, that wasn't Corbin, approached him.

"You're not supposed to be without a guard! I'll come with you!"

"Okay..." the knight was surprised to hear the prince say that without an argument before-hand. Usually, the pale boy would try to be by himself. Was he just tired today? Sir Liam didn't ponder the situation more when Yami began to walk forward.

The next couple of days were miserable for Yami, not because he was grounded, but because his heart hurt. All he did was lay on his bed under the blanket, always on the verge of tears. But he refused to cry, crying would make him seem weak.

In the end, he snapped and began to cry one day, wetting his pillow and blanket with tears.

"Stop crying, stop crying..." he scolded himself, but his inner self didn't listen. Just then, his older brother came in with a tray of food.

"Hey, brother, I brought you-" Yugi stopped taking once he noticed his little twin brother crying.

"What happened?" He asked while setting down the tray on a nearby flat surface. The older twin then sat down beside Yami and gave him a look of worry.

"Nothing happened, go away!" Yami aggressively rubbed his eyes to make it seem as if he wasn't crying, but what was the point if Yugi already saw him crying.

"If you're crying something definitely happened. I may not show you much that I care about you, but I do. Tell me and I promise I won't tell mom or dad." Yugi said gently, hoping his younger brother would trust him enough to tell him why he's crying.

Yugi swore to the gods if someone touched or hurt him, he would make sure that person suffered from torture, then he'd make them have a slow, rather painful, death.

"You care about me?" Yami questioned. Yugi raised an eyebrow.

"Of course, what made you think otherwise?"

"It's just you're always on dad's side when we're arguing. So, I thought you didn't care about me or my opinion." The younger boy confessed.

"I don't agree with dad's decisions towards you. I really don't understand why he's so protective of you, but I do agree with one thing: you need a bodyguard."

"That's the thing I mostly hate and you agree with that?!" Yami exclaimed.

"Only because you can't protect yourself..."
