"She rejected me."

Serim repeated for God who knows what time, before gobbling another glass of alchohol and placing it harshly at the coffee table. Y/N sighed, "I know. You don't have to repeat it over and over again." she replied, before bending over to take the bottle of alcohol and refil Serim's cup.

Serim groaned, leaning back the couch as he covered his eyes with his hands probably from the headache he was experiencing. It was already 2 in the morning, and yet they we're still drinking as if it was their last night with each other.

"I thought you had high alchohol tolerance?" Y/N asked in a mocking manner, grabbing her legs closer to her as Serim let out a chuckle. It was a common set up with the both of them, they we're best friends anyways.

It was normal for Serim to show up at Y/N's place in the middle of the night, wanting to drink with her while Y/N being slightly annoyed still welcomes him to her place even if she's in nothing but her black laced pajamas.

But tonight was different. Yes, it's still the same living room dimly lit with two lamps at either end of the couch. Yes, it's still the same coffee table that contained various things that they both used but it was different for the reason that there was something odd about the night.

"How dare she." Serim broke the sudden silence, "I fucking spent more then two million dollars on her every month. Then she just rejects me like that? Five years down the Goddamn drain just because she fell for someone else." He continued before peeking at the small red velvet ring box placed at the table top.

Y/N snickered, "No one asked you to max out your five accounts over that faggot." She remarked before scooting over closer to her best friend and taking a sip from her own glass. "But damn she was such a plastic. I always knew that there was something about her smile that I cannot trust."

"Then you could have told me." Serim groaned, eyes still closed as he rested for a while before going for another round of drinks. "I tried telling you idiot. But you we're too deaf to even listen to me." Y/N tried reasoning, head now rested on her knees as she traced the folds on the leather couch they both sat on.

"Yeah Im sorry for that." Serim said timidly, half acknowledging his mistake and half not. Y/N can't believe it, but it's sti Serim anyways. He wants to say sorry but his pride somehow still gets into the way.

"But I just really can't believe it. Why in earth did she reject me? I did everything to please her, even going out of what I'm comfortable with just to be hers." Serim complained, trying to hold back his tears while Y/N willingly (and unwillingly) listened to her best friend's rants.

"I swear to God. Im gonna kill that girl when I see her." Y/N remarked, spinning her wine glass a little before taking a sip from it. "Yeah, let's do it. She's such a cheap golddigger." Serim replied, a hint of enthusiasm in his voice.

"Trust me. Of all the cheap sluts out there, she must be the cheapest. Her style is crap." Y/N shamelessly remarked once more, making the older chuckle a little. "Yah, if you're okay there already get another glass. I didn't buy a whole crate of this expensive thing if it isn't for drinking." She continued.

"Right. I'll drink and forget—" Serim stopped mid-sentence. The moment he said that, he already lifted of his hand and tried to get up but found herself face to face with Y/N who froze as well. It was a distance that never closed with each other, never until that very moment.
