Life Beside You

'Saph, take the boys to bed with you would you?' Mum asked tiredly.

'Of course mum.' I replied

Let me explain. You see, mum was my role model. Nothing could change it. She had been on a rocky road in her life but had still gotten out of it, leaving the old life with new friends, enemies and a perfect family.

I took my brothers' hands and led them upstairs. Kissing each on the forehead, I waited for them to ask for the story, and as usual, Chris asked: 'Tell us the story saffy!'

So I began the fairytale that topped them all in my opinion.

'Once upon a time, a young girl called Cassie Cambridge met a young man called Terry. They were ever so deeply in love, and at just sixteen years old...'

'Thats your age!!' Chris shouted loudly.

And I continued. 'Cassie really thought she had met the man of her dreams. However, one day, Cassie was getting ready to go to a party with Terry. They got in the car and drove to the place. Cassie chatted with girls and Terry dissappeared into the crowd, Cassie worried she had lost him. Then a nasty man came and began arguing with another man about money, and Terry came out and told them to stop, that they would scare the humans. At the time, Cassie was very worried and all the way home, pestered Terry with questions. Terry got so angry that he turned to Cassie and before he knew it, Cassie's dad's car smashed into them, as her dad had been shot three times. Her and Terry plunged into the nearby river, almost drowning. Cassie smashed her car window and swam out, attempting to wrench Terry's door open. Terry told her to go and Cassie refused. Divers found Cassie unconcious and Terry dead and Cassie could never forgive herself. Then she eventually let Chad, or our father, fall in love with her again, and...'

We all smiled at eachother and said 'And they live to this day with Saffy, Chris and Charlie.'
