The air tensed and heat risen around him, faint smoke evaporated from the ground as it rumbled like an angry beast. Jimin did not like how his mother was turning slightly red with veins popping purple around her neck and arms, even her orbs were darkened by a crimson red. The Queen was reeked of power and rage as she rose her arms and tore the hallucination walls around them, revealing herself to the battlefield, snatching everyone's attention.
The Queen stretched her fingers out and strings of lights peered and surrounded the entire battlefield in a blink of a eye, trapping everyone in it. The rouges took advantage of the shocked opponents and tackled them down, pinning them on the ground.
She struck again with her explosive power and aimed at the Fear powered rouge, pulling his essence from his mouth as he let out a blood curdling scream. Purplish smoke flowed out of his mouth and into the Queen's, turning her power and aura into hues of purple and blue, as if the galaxy was surrounding here. A galaxy of nightmares.
After extracting the Fear power, Mera merged it with the hallucination power, creating a space of sheer fear and terror surrounding the whole of battlefield. Each of their worse nightmares were painted vividly on the walls of the space, portrayed to the finest, detailed to kill the bravery of their minds. No one escapes the space of terror, not even the great General Adam.
Everyone had their hands over their heads or covering their ears with eyes shut closed after getting a single glance of their worse nightmares. Shivers ran down their spine and drained them of their colors, cold blood and sweat froze their bodies as they braced for the worse.
Xena kept screaming in sheer pain and sorrow, hugging her own body as she curled up in fear. Her worse nightmare? Being abandoned by the one she loves and calls home. Jimin. The scene was crystal as it played out right in front of her eyes, watched as he yanked his hands away from her and shoving her out of the palace before slamming the massive gates in her face.
Her painful screaming caught Jimin's attention and he too ached when he saw her paling and filled with fear. He had to stop the Queen. Jimin charged at his mother and knocked her off the rock she was standing on, immediately causing the walls to fade a little but still held the victims in a state of puzzlement and fear.
He stretched his arms out and eyes glowing in silver. He connected to all of their mind with his power and tried to extract their fears away but with the amount of victims in his hands, Jimin was struggling to even hold onto the strands of connection.
He could feel his own brain aching, skull hammering in pain and veins popping along his temples. It was no easy task to thread a crowd of minds and manipulating them especially when the Queen's power was still intact.
A low groan sounded beside Jimin as the Queen crawled back onto her feet. She hissed at her son who paid no attention her. With one swing of her power, Queen Mera shocked Jimin's head and shut off his power. The young king fell down and groaned with his hands clinging onto his head. He almost overused his power and it's putting him in great restrain which means his next move had to be all or nothing.
When the Queen was about to restore her fading walls, Jimin jumped in front of her and grabbed her head before merging his mind with hers. He needed to get hold of her power and manipulate it himself. Even though he could his mind tearing apart, Jimin held onto his mother as his pulled in every nerves in her brain, causing the Queen to scream in agony.
One by one, the soldiers were released from the Queen's hold and freed from their nightmares but Jimin was the one who was caging them. Tears of both fear and pain streamed down his cheeks. He had to save his people. He had to save his love.
The moment Jimin felt the full power of the Queen's mind, he also felt himself fading away. He slowly turned to the side and saw Xena being held back by Jungkook and Hoseok as she struggled to reach for him. He could see her yelling but his ears rung with his hammering heartbeat only.
He have seen her nightmares too and he didn't want it to become real for her to live in agony so he made an eternal decision that would bring peace to everyone. He decided to erase the Queen from everyone's memory to completely wipe away any traces of fear from them and there's no escape for his merged mind so he himself had to leave too.
The Queen would die from the excruciating pain when he ripped her soul from the world. As for Jimin himself? It's a total perish because, well, that's his biggest and worse weakness. Not existing in one's mind is the biggest weakness of a Psychotelesis.
They need the memories of the mind to keep them alive, preferably by the many. Why do you think Hitler and Mother Teresa are still so well-known even after their death? But if erasing himself can save them, then dying will be the answer to this story's ending.
His mind was at the verge of collapsing but he finally got hold of the Queen's power. He used it to his advantage and created a portal to a loop where he will absorb every single trace of fear and sorrow into it along with the dying Queen and himself.
The portal stretched widely and started ripped the walls up, pulling in all of the Queen's power. "If only you're a better mother," Jimin breathed out an apology before shoving her into the portal but he too felt the strong suction of the portal and felt himself fading away.
He glanced at the crying General who was on her knees, begging him not to go. His heart ached and bleed at the sight of her rushing tears yet he couldn't even wipe them away without stinging his own hands. He took one massive step to get to her but could only cup her face when the portal was closing and pulling him him.
"Remember me, my love", Jimin cried as he pleaded before being swallowed up by the portal as it closed. A gush of wind swirled the battlefield and put them to sleep as it erased the young king and queen from their minds, leaving them nothing but a peaceful mind on the soft grass of the field.
