16 Dear God

.::. FFW 3 weeks .::.

'Hey Johnny' I said as I came down the stairs and snuggled next to him on the sofa. It was about 12am and yet again I found it hard sleeping.

'Couldn't you sleep sis?' He asked wrapping an arm gently over me. I shook my head. 'Still in pain?'

'It's not as bad just sore now, stiches are itchy as a mo fo.'

'Yeah. You'll be alright, it'll just take a while.'

'Thanks for letting me and Alexia move in with you again'

'Sis you're welcome any time, I love having you both about' He smiled as he returned to watching a random cooking program on TV. I laid with him until it had finished. 'I'm off to bed now, don't stay up too late. Nighty Night Emz, I'll go check on Rex too.'

'Night Johnny, thanks' Johnny disappeared upstairs as I continued to flick through the TV channels, there was nothing on so I headed upstairs. I stopped outside Zackys door. He was staying at Johnnys again for a little while until I got settled. I knocked on his door gently, I could hear his TV was on so I was guessing he was watching a movie. 'Come in' he said from the other side.

I gently pushed opened the door to see Zacky laying on his back watching the the TV, he quickly sat up and smiled as I entered, patting the bed next to him. I walked over lifted up the sheets and climbed under.

'Hey you' He whispered as he laid back down so I could rest my head on his chest. He kissed my head gently and started playing with my hair. 'How are you feeling baby?'

'Rough'

'Aww Emz' He wrapped his arm around my shoulders. 'Hows the stitches?'

'Itchy' I moaned 'I hope you don't mind me joining you?'

'Shut up silly.' we laid together watching a movie that was on the TV. 'Hey. Look at me.' So I do as he asked, his hand held my cheek as he brought his lips to mine. 'You know I am so glad you came back'

'I'm glad I came back. and you know I can never thank you enough for what you guys have done for me' He kissed me gently again, before I leaned my head back onto his chest. Zacky flicked off the TV and turned out the light, and softly began to sing to me;

'Dear God the only thing I ask of you is

to hold her when i'm not around,

When i'm much too far away,

I left her when I found her,

And now I wished I stayed,

'Cause i'm lonely and i'm tired,

Once he finished the sweet song to me he kissed my forehead again, before snuggling down to sleep, with me close to his side.

When I awoke in the morning, I was alone, so I rolled out of Zacky's bed and headed towards the bathroom to get showered and dressed before I headed downstairs.

'Mommy!' Alexia yelled from the kitchen, where she was sat at the counter eating her breakfast, that Zacky had just placed in front of her. ' Zacky made me lucky charms!' She grinned. 'Am I still going out with daddy and Harmony today?'

'Yes sweetie, daddy will be here to pick you up after your breakfast. Then you harmony, daddy, Jimmy and Johnny are all going out for the day again.'

'Where are we going too?'

'I don't know baby' I said as I pulled her brunette hair back into a ponytail.

'Zacky do you know where I is going today?'

'Well a little birdy told me you are going to Toy World.' Her eyes lit up as she bounced about in her seat. 'But you have to eat up all your cereal or you won't get your treat' So she began to shovel food into her mouth as quickly as possible. She had really taking a shining to Zacky since we were all living together. Luckily she didn't recall much of the incident with Karl a few weeks ago. Today Brian and the guys were taking the little ones out. I was going to the hospital to have my stitches removed Zacky was coming along, then we had both been invited to spend the afternoon with Roxy and Matt.

'Hellloooo' Came from the front door, and in walked Brian. He walked over to me placing a kiss on my cheek and asking how I was before moving on to Rex, to check she was nearly ready.

'Are you sure you don't want me to come to the hospital with you?' He asked.

'Brian, don't worry. Zacky is going to take me. You have fun playing with the toys all day' He frowned looking over to Zacky who was now making me a coffee.

Everyone said their good-byes and I went back upstairs to change into a comfy top for the hospital visit. I hated looking at my body in the mirror. It made me feel sick. But I was told that when the stitches were out it wouldn't look so bad. So I was actually in quite a hurry to get there and get it over with.

'Emz, come on babe' Zacky shouted from downstairs. I chucked on a hoodie and headed out of the room.

'You feeling OK?' He asked as we climbed into his car and drove towards the hospital.

'Yeah i'm cool thank you. Just want to get it sorted now, so I move on.'

'I know, sorry, I'll stop mentioning it.' He smiled.

It was so much better when the stitches were taken out, it didn't itch so much and now I was glad that I would be able shower and scrub properly. The scarring wasn't so bad. The plan was to get it tattooed over eventually anywhere, which I was more than happy about.

'Come on lets go see the old couple' I said as we pulled up outside Roxy and Matts place. We climbed out of the car and walked around the back of the house where they were both laying on the sun beds.

'Hey!' I yell causing them both to jump.

'Hey guys!' they greeted us with the usual formalities like a how are you etc.

'So how come you've invited us both over?' Zacky asked.

'Well we just thought it would be nice, like old times' Roxy said smiling. Zacky placed an arm around my waist as we sat on the bench near to them both.

'Like old old times' Zacky laughed.

'Oh guys look' I smiled as I took of my hoodie, under it I had a vest top on. 'No stitches' I grinned.

'Wow, thats so much better' Matt smiled. 'Have you heard anything back from the cops yet?'

'Erm no not really. All I know is that they are holding the court trial next week.'

'Are they making you fly back?' Rox asked

'No, they are getting me to do a video conference, from the local cop shop. So it won't be so bad'

'Hey Zacky come give me a hand' Matt said getting up from his chair heading into the house, Zacky following. I moved over to Matts sun chair and laid next to Roxy.

'So hows things with you an Zacky?' She asked looking at me over the top of her shades.

'Oh I see, you invited us over for a gossip hey'

she held up her hands 'I was mearly asking out of pure interest' she grinned.

'Things are good. He has been amazing to me.'

'I know. It is good to see you happy, after everything babe.'
