george hated the situation he was in right now.

this is probably gonna go on for the rest of the day, he sighed as the mere thought of it made him sick.

clay has recently met with his childhood bestfriend, who supposedly saw him in ways more than one after meeting each other once again.

everything about her made george sick, he wasn't a stranger to what the girl thought of his boyfriend, he has seen how her eyes linger on him longer than it should, how her words slowly morph into something inappropriate and off the bat whenever they would talk.

despite all the bad signs he had witnessed, he chose to forget and conceal them for the sake of his partner's happiness. he knows how it feels when you're longing for someone, specifically a certain person that has been very important in your life. and he must admit, that feeling sucks too.

but it never once crossed his mind that it would go off this far, this was too much.

george cries off in a distant corner of the parking lot, he was left behind. clay had forgotten the mere presence of his boyfriend, proceeding to go back to their home with his bestfriend, seeming to be too eager on watching movies with her.

george remembered how he had told clay that he forgot a pack of chips that he loved, and went off to get them; only to realize that the two weren't even there anymore.

he anxiously tried to call clay but no calls went answered as he was on mute for the movie. his thumb then hovered over nick's contacts, the reason of him avoiding the presence of nick himself haunting him once again.

-nick liked george first, but george has always liked clay.

that one reason broke the three off, george being told by clay to stay away from him as much as possible, but who was he going to tell his problems now?

he didn't have any other choices as the night went on with a chilly breeze, nick answering his call after 1 ring.

"-george?" nick's voice was raspy, seeming to be woken up by the brunette's call.

george broke off into a sob once he heard the other's voice, the situation getting into his head too much. it was all too much.

"n-nick. pick me up," his teeth chatters before continuing as he told his location,

"right now, please." he said desperately, as nick hanged up on him and abruptly stand up as he heard how his duvet shuffles.

not even five minutes, nick arrived in the parking lot he was in as he ran to george with a spare jacket for him.

george gracefully accepted it as nick laced his fingers with georges', as he dragged the brunette back to his car, boosting his heater just so george would feel better.

nick turned to george as he pulled the brunette in for a hug, his grip being shockingly tight. the other nuzzles his nose into george's neck as nick questioned the other.

"...what happened?" george felt his throat run dry before deciding to answer, nick running his hand up and down george's back to comfort him.

a ring from george's phone cut the silence betweem them, nick backing away after giving george a reassuring squeeze. george hesitantly answered the call as he left the call on speaker, looking at nick as the other encourages him.

"george, fuck, i'm sorry." clay said genuinely, background noises of the movie running evident from the blonde's end.

"-where are you right now? i'll pick-" george cut off the blonde as he answered,

"i'm with nick. i don't know if i want to be with you right now, clay." he answered truthfully.

he heard the blonde inhale sharply as he urged the brunette to just go home with him to resolve the problem.

nick snatched the phone from george's grasp as he replied angrily to clay's desperate claims.

"george already said no, what the fuck is wrong with you?" the brunette's eyes widened as he heard what nick had said, grabbing his arm to calm him down as he tried to ease the fight beginning to develop between the two of them.

"no, what the fuck is wrong with you? i'm his boyfriend, how would it be your business?!" the blonde shouted back.

"i think you would be if you weren't hanging out with someone less important! george fucking loves you man, how the hell can you do this?!" nick replies frustrated as he ended the call, eyes softening as he saw george crying quietly.

"i-i'm sorry george, but, why do you keep up with him? why can't you just-" nick's breath hitches before continuing,

"why can't you just love me?"

"i'm sorry."
