Y/N's POV
It's been two weeks. We've been preparing for the raiders to come attack us. Me, Clem, and AJ were sleeping. But I wake up due to Clem who was sweating and shaking. She was having a nightmare.
Y/N: Clem?
I start shaking her.
Y/N: Clem, Wake up!
After shaking her for a bit, she finally jerks up and starts panting. I pull her into a hug. AJ wakes up.
Y/N: Hey, hey, It's okay, It's okay.
Clementine: I'm sorry. It's just another nightmare.
Y/N: Is it about Lee?
Clementine: No. It was about the night we found AJ. At the ranch.
Y/N: I'm sorry Clem.
Clementine: There's nothing to be sorry for.
We see AJ on top of our dresser.
Y/N: Why're you up?
AJ: Clem was having an nightmare.
I see AJ holding a knife.
Clementine: Did you have a bad dream as well? You've been having them too.
AJ: I feel safer like this. Not sleeping. I wanna stay up forever. I think I could. If I tried hard.
Clementine: We're safe here, AJ.
AJ: Doesn't feel like it.
Clementine: Let's get you back to bed.
AJ: No. You guys don't have to keep checking on me. You always say, be tough. So I am. Be strong. And I will. And brave, all the time.
Y/N: You're the toughest boy we know. The toughest boy in the whole world.
AJ: Not as tough like you guys.
Clementine: Well, No one is as tough as me and Y/N.
I smile at her.
AJ: I'm sorry you guys have to do all of the hard work. To atone me. I'm gonna help more.
AJ gets off the dresser and starts walking.
Y/N: Where are you going?
AJ: On patrol.
Clementine: Patrol>
AJ: For danger. Bad people. Monsters. And nightmares.
Y/N: How about you stay here? I can make sure no more nightmares come.
AJ: You can't do that. You're not magic.
Clementine: Because I am.
AJ starts to laugh.
Clementine: Remember what I said earlier? I have magic, I could make Y/N disappear.
AJ continues to laugh. I laugh a little too.
AJ: No you can't. Even if you did, you wouldn't do that to Y/N.
Clem then smiles at me.
Clementine: You're right AJ, I would never do that to Y/N.
Clem lays her head on my shoulder as I lay my head on her head.
AJ: Can I... maybe sleep in your bed? Like when I was little?
Y/N: Of course you can.
AJ: I'm not scared. Just tired.
AJ gets in the middle of me and Clem on the bed.
Clementine: AJ?
AJ: What?
Clementine: You're still little.
AJ: Yeah, I know.
Y/N: It's not a bad thing, Clem is still a little short.
AJ lets out a small giggle as Clem reaches over AJ and playfully punches me in the arm. We all drift off to sleep.
