My footsteps thudded along the dark path.

The trees whooshed, wanting to be carried away by the wind.

There was a dark figure, and as I approached it, it turned it 5 figures.

My friends.

They were mouthing something to me, looking angry.

I got closer, slowing down.

"You are nothing to us. You are worthless, we wish you weren't our friend."

They repeated and their eyes were soulless.

I kept running. The words followed me regardless.

I plunged into deep dark waters, unable to find the surface.

I swam and found my family.

"Unloved. You are unloved. You caused us lots of pain."

They spoke so clearly, yet were underwater.

I let loosed the breath I was holding.

They gave the words I needed.

I finally sank, happy to be gone.
