Faye's POV
Friday came faster than I had anticipated, but I still made no decision to go back to school after what happened. It's not because I'm scared or anything, no, I just feel like not going to school because I'm not ready to go back there as the old Faye.
The one who will always choose to see past the damage and accept everything that has been happening around me as if it doesn't feel wrong at all. When I decide to set foot back on Pendleton high grounds, it's not going to be the old Faye anymore. It's going to be the real Faye, the one who's been holding back all this time, being trapped under the fake good girl facade for years.
Not anymore. I'mma be real this time and show them who I really am.
Around ten something in the morning, I grabbed the files that my mom gave me yesterday for my missions and strolled to the study located down the hallway near Jake's room.
Wearing a loose long sleeved cream top that hangs off my shoulder on one side and tight leggings, the surprised looks on the maids and servants in the house that I walked past did not bother me at all.
It's the first time they saw me wearing something casual like this because most of the time, I've been wearing nice short skirts and blouses, even when I'm home.
This was definitely surprising of course.
I opened the door to the study and walked in and then closed the door behind me before taking a look around. It's a big medium size room with white bare walls that are nearly hidden with tall bookshelves of many many books that I don't even know what they're all about.
A big square mahogany table is placed right in the middle of the room with two chairs on each front and back side. I pulled the chair in front of me and placed the files on top of the table before sitting down. I pulled the chair a bit in front and then started flipping through the first file.
No one usually comes here and uses this room, which makes me the only person that does come here a lot just to do homework or just to sit here and listen to music while staring at the big floor to ceiling window that overlooks the pool in the backyard behind me.
The first page has a big profile picture of a man that looks like he's in his early thirties. He has big brown eyes that almost looks black, with bushy eyebrows and brown disheveled hair. He wasn't smiling or anything, his expression was blank. My eyes travelled down to his personal information and I was slightly surprised to find that he's not married.
This just makes it more easier to kill him. He's got no loose ends for me to also take care of.
The reason why I won't be hesitating to kill this motherfucker, is because he had the audacity to threaten my parents when they 'nicely' asked him to pay up his debt. I know Mom and Dad better, and they don't take this things lightly and I'm actually glad they want me to handle this one. I will make sure that he remembers this before he dies.
No one dare mess with my family cos if they do, then they mess with me
After going through the last detail for the first file, I went through the next one. This target is a female, 25 years old, works as a professional stripper, and very well known for getting chummy with anything that walks that has a penis between their legs. Reason why she need to die?
There was a picture tucked between the papers and i picked it up and looked at it. I chuckled in realization.
Well well well.
The picture looks like it was taken just a few days ago, and it was a shot of her trying to sidle up to my father who looks like he can't wait to get out of the place.
Knowing mom, she's the type that rarely shows jealousy but when she's up to something if she's jealous of someone, let's just say that person will end up in a ditch, dead, the next day.
Just as I was closing the file, the study room door opens and Jake walks in with a pissed expression on his face. I relaxed my posture and leaned back on my chair and stared up at him.
"You lied! After everything that I told you about Jonathan, you went out with him behind my back?!" I scoffed but then I almost end up laughing instead. He looked down at me as if he just saw me for the first time.
"So?" He glared hard at me.
"So?! What the fuck were you trying to do huh? Go behind my back and take his side? Do you have any idea what people are saying about this at school?!"
His voice picked up a notch and i causally shrugged my shoulders with a cool expression on my face.
"Do I look like I give a fuck?" He was taken aback by what I just said, and he looks at me in disbelief.
"Wait a minute, so you're not gonna care at all? You're not gonna care that fucking asshole embarrassed you in front of everyone in school? Not gonna care about the rumors about you?! What happens to protecting your so-called good reputation? So much for being perfect."
I sighed and then stood up and grabbed the files and held them by my side before staring back at him, right in the eye.
"Look Jake, shit happens okay? Some people are just not meant to be together and the way they call things off will not be one of those cliché heartbreaking moments with how you and Maddy did a few months ago before getting back together now. I screwed up, he screwed up, the end!" I yelled.
I walked around the table and stood in front of him, glaring right at him.
"But you know what? They'll never see this one coming. He thought he broke that princess's innocent heart? Hell no. He just broke down the walls that she had around her, without knowing that he had let her demon out who can't wait to show him that he had messed with the wrong girl."
His eyes remained glued to mine but they slightly wavered when I finished talking. I smiled and then pat his cheek gently.
"Don't worry brother, I've got everything under control. He'll never know what's coming. Karma is a bitch, ever heard of that?"
With that being said, I turned around and walked out of the room closing the door loudly behind me that actually made some of the portraits hanging on the wall to slightly rattled. The smile dropped from my face, my eyes narrowed as every thought of Jonathan floods into my mind.
I hope you're enjoying yourself wherever the hell you are right now, Jonathan. I'll be making you regret for playing around with me, you son of a bitch!
Just you wait.
