It was almost midnight in Florida, but neither Boni or Ranboo seemed to care. The boys enjoyed each other's company so much, they didn't want to go to sleep.

Boni stopped streaming an hour ago, because he was getting a little tired. But that didn't stop the two boys from messaging each other trough discord. Boni's room was dark, only the dim light of his desk lamp lit the space up. The boy was getting more and more tired as time passed, almost falling asleep on his desk at one point. But he didn't want to. The soft tapping of the raindrops against his window made him even more tired.

When he was tired, Boni didn't think. He made stupid decisions, not thinking about the consequences of his actions. Looking back at it, it would have been better if the boy had gone to sleep. But he didn't. The boy didn't think, his brain was too drowsy. For him, everything passed in a blur.

Normally, he wouldn't ever consider to click on the call icon. He barely even looked at it. It was too scary what that little icon did to him. But the boy didn't think like he did normally. Actually, he barely thought at all. His little cursor made it's way to the icon, and clicked.

It didn't take long for Ranboo to pick up. Boni heard him shuffling in his stool. Now, he heard not only the rain tapping softly against his own windows, but also against Ranboo's. Besides that, it was completely silent. Ranboo didn't want to talk first, he didn't want to scare the other boy. So, for once in his life, Boni started the conversation.

"Hi," his voice murmured softly, still trying to not fall asleep.

Across the line, Ranboo smiled. "Hi, Margay," he said, while looking at the boy's profile picture in discord. It showed a gray, fluffy cat. The pet was lying on a soft surface, presumably a bed. Ranboo assumed the animal was Margay's, which made him smile again. The older boy had watched enough of the other's streams to know he adored animals. Secretly, he found that very cute, although he never would admit that to anyone.

"How are you?" Ranboo asked, after a few seconds of silence. He shuffled a bit in his gaming chair. He felt a bit nervous, knowing what happened last time the two called. He didn't want to make the other boy uncomfortable. But, since Margay was the one who called, he assumed that everything was fine. Maybe the boy trusted him enough now, after the evening they basically spent together.

"Bit tired," Boni answered. Ranboo hummed in response.

"Well, maybe you need to go to sleep."

"But what if I don't want to?" Boni said, slightly grinning. Ranboo chuckled. "Then you don't, but you will look like a zombie tomorrow."

"But I already do," Boni chuckled softly, while laying his head down. Ranboo frowned, "I don't remember you doing," he said. He waited for an answer, but it never came. Boni fell asleep right before Ranboo said it. Only if he stayed awake a little bit longer, he could've gotten so much answers. But it was already too late for that.

Ranboo frowned when he didn't get an answer from the other boy. Just when he wanted to apologize, he heard soft snores. Then he realized the boy fell asleep. He sighed while looking at the stars. Maybe he should go to sleep too, it was getting a bit late.

Not wanting to be rude, Ranboo didn't hang up. "Goodnight, Boni," he whispered to the other boy.  Then he laid his body in a comfortable position and fell asleep.

The next morning, Boni woke up pretty confused. Meatball was twirling around his legs, begging for attention. The boy groaned softly, wanting to sleep more. The sun shone into his room, making his eyes hurt a bit. Mornings weren't Boni's favorite time of the day. He actually hated them. Why would a person enjoy a morning? Who liked the bright sun hurting their eyes? Because Boni really didn't. He preferred late nights. He always found comfort in looking at the stars and the moon. Nights had this relaxing vibe with them, which Boni adored.

Suddenly, he heard a voice through his headphones, "Goodmorning," a boy's voice said. Boni froze. He forgot he was in a call with Ranboo. Shit, he barely even remembered what happened the evening before. His tiredness made him do stupid things.

"Margay, are you there?" Ranboo asked in confusion. The boy was pretty sure he heard noises coming from his old friend. "Hello?"

Boni panicked. What was he supposed to do? He couldn't just hang up again. He did that last time, and still regretted it very much. But what could he do? He didn't have the courage to just say something, that was way too scary. He felt like he was in a tight space, the air around him was a bit harder to breathe in.

But deep inside, he knew he couldn't just ignore Ranboo again. The boy had been so nice for him, it would be mean to just ignore him again. So, Boni built up all the courage he had in him. He took a deep breath in, like his aunt learned him. She always knew what to do when the boy had a panic attack.

"Goodmorning," Boni said. His voice sounded a bit strange, but nothing too bad. Ranboo could probably notice something was off though, but Boni didn't care too much. He was very proud of himself for saying something to Ranboo while panicking.

"Had a good sleep?" Ranboo asked. He did indeed notice something was off, but didn't want to point it out. He was scared it would make the other boy even more uncomfortable. It took a while for Boni to answer, but he did eventually. A shaking "yeah" left his mouth

Both boys didn't really know what to do now. Boni was too scared to speak and Ranboo really didn't want to make his friend more uncomfortable. But neither of them wanted to hang up.

Luckily, that moment didn't take too long. When Ranboo unlocked his phone, he had a few notifications, all asking where he was. He totally forgot he had a recording planned with Tommy and Tubbo on that exact moment. "Shit!" he said. "Listen Boni, I'm really sorry but I need to go, talk to you later?" He said in record time. "Oh- Don't worry about it Ranboo, it's fine." Boni said. Honestly he was quite relieved the call was coming to an end. And for once, it wasn't his fault.

"Bye!" Ranboo said quickly. Before Boni could respond, the boy already left.

Boni thought about the call for a bit, before he frowned. He was pretty sure Ranboo just called him Boni. He never told the boy his name, did he? He didn't remember doing it. How did Ranboo know his name? Nobody in the twitch community knew his real name, Boni found privacy really important.

Maybe he just remembered it wrong. There was no way Ranboo knew his real name, he probably just said Margay. Because why would he know his name?

He shook his head and sighed. Mornings really messed with his brain.
