Within a few minutes, I found myself sitting next to an elated and talkative Section Commander. Their eyes lit up passionately as they spoke about their new plans, but it wasn't like I was processing any of the information.

A scoffing sound from Captain Levi pulled me from my trance, and I looked over at him - only to be met with a disapproving stare. We hadn't spoken much since our encounter with the Female Titan, and I wasn't in any rush to do so. As if he'd speak of it, anyway.

"And then, the ropes are meant to secure the titan's feet- and pull them down into the ground!" Hange spoke with exaggerated hand gestures, demonstrating how it'd work almost theatrically. Before I could respond, they suddenly grabbed both of my shoulders, shaking me excitedly. "Can't you imagine how many titans we could capture, then, [Y/N]?! It'd be revolutionary! Don't you think?"

I faltered with my words, practically forgetting how to speak. Why do they have to be so physical? It messes with my head.

Thankfully, Sasha stepped in without missing a beat, "if it gets approved, can I help set it up?" she prompted, a sly grin composing on her lips.

The Section Commander looked over at her, returning the expression with an enthusiastic nod. "Of course! What about you, [Y/N]?"

I forced a smile on my face, my tone coming off more discordant and breathy than I intended, "Yeah, yeah that sounds great! Definitely..."

Finally, Hange pulled their hands back to their sides, unknowingly allowing my racing heart to recover for the time being. "It's time to go, shitty four-eyes," Levi stood, folding his arms across his chest promptly, "Erwin wants to have another meeting... about trainings."

The brunette visibly frowned, their demeanor shifting to one of chagrin as they stood next to Levi. My eyes widened a fraction at the conversation, and I looked at Levi, "Why did nobody tell me?" I questioned, under the impression that I may have some involvement due to my participation in the initial meeting.

His eyes felt like they might burn right through me when he peered back at me, "Because you have no significance - why would we include you in a regular meeting?"

I paused, my gaping expression not helping my case. Of course, Sasha didn't know- and she wasn't allowed to either. Regardless, I thought I might have some involvement considering I had been a part of the meeting last night. Why did they include me in the first place if I wasn't 'significant'? I questioned myself, watching as the two higher-up's figure's disappeared down the corridor.

Sasha turned to me, and I couldn't help but see Will's face morph into her features for a brief second. People had commented before on how alike the two were personality-wise. Although Will definitely had contained more responsibility about himself.

"Hello? Anybody in there?" She waved her hand in front of my face, and I blinked a few times before returning from my brief mental hiatus.

"Sorry, what?" I shook my head slightly, as if my thoughts were tangible and would fall to the floor.

She laughed quietly, "I said your face is as red as a tomato, seriously, you should see it- it's practically screaming 'I'm in love with you, Section Commander'," she slapped her knee loudly, breaking out into a more boisterous laugh this time. To my short-lived relief, she seemed oblivious toward the conversation just seconds ago.

"Sasha," I grumbled, an embarrassed edge to my voice, "please tell me you're joking-" I ran my hands over my face, only feeling my skin burn even deeper.

"Not at all, sugar." Slowly uncovering my face, I rose a brow at the nickname.

"Seriously? Did you just call me sugar?"
