The sun rose over the city of Trost, mostly no one being out on the streets or out of their homes that early. Except on the training field near the scouts HQ, there was a lone man running around the small area. Logan jogged around the field, trying his best to stay healthy for as long as he could.

After his eightieth lap around the field he stopped, taking a seat on the grass near the middle of the field and watching the sunrise.

"Hey, didn't expect to see anyone else out here." A voice spoke startling the boy from his relaxed stance. Logan let his head fall back, trying his best to see who was approaching him. A tall blonde stood there, eye bags sitting under his eyes as if he hadn't slept in years.

"Yeah, I could say the same thing." Logan spoke, still trying to catch his breath from the running. Armin lightly smiled as he mumbled a small 'Can I sit?' Which Logan of course welcomed.

"So, how're you feeling?" Armin asked causing Logan to dryly chuckle and shake his head.

"I'm fine, just still trying to deal with everything. I should be asking you the same thing, you look like you haven't slept, like ever." Logan teased causing Armin to scoff and sigh as he watched the sunrise

"It's just been hard to sleep recently, with everything going on. You know we have a whole other country coming to visit us in the next few days?" Armin asked out causing Logan to lightly smile and nod, happy to see even without sleep, the boy was very excited for the new world.

The two watched the sunrise in silence for twenty minutes until the faint bustle of the base began to come alive, making both of them stand up. Armin gave him a small smile and a wave before he began to walk away, Logan biting his lip, trying to force his mouth to say what he wanted it to say.

"Hey! Armin! Listen uh, Cloud and I, well, Cloud really likes you and the books you read him! If you're not doing anything tonight, he'd be thrilled if you came to visit him!" Logan asked out. For some reason, even through all the crazy shit he'd been through, his anxiety would still peak when talking to two people.

Armin lightly chuckled as he felt a slight heat rise to his cheeks. The orange sunrise lit his face as he nodded.

"Sure! I'll come by tonight!" Armin responded before quickly turning on his heels and jogging back to his post. Logan smiled to himself as he felt a feeling he hadn't felt in weeks, excitement.

"There you go! See! I told you that you could do it easily!" Logan encouraged Cloud as he stirred the food that was cooking in the pot. The small family were in their kitchen, Logan sitting on the counter as he watched his son cook the dinner they'd be having tonight. Cloud had a massive smile on his face as he stirred, happy to see that he was doing a good job when suddenly a small knock came from the door.

Cloud looked to Logan, surprise and confusion on his face as Logan smirked at the boy.

"I wonder who that could be, why don't you go see?" Logan asked, his voice teeming with excitement for the boys reaction. Cloud nodded vigorously before running from the kitchen towards the front door. Logan stayed in the kitchen, waiting to hear the boys excited yell. He furrowed his eyes when there wasnt one, he walked towards the front door, seeing it cracked open with Cloud staring at the person outside.

"Cloud? Who is it kiddo?" Logan asked as he approached the door, opening it wider finding a tall boy who was the last person he had wanted to see. Eren stood on the porch, staring down at the child who opened the door in confusion before he looked up, finding Logan glaring at him.
