Logan's sleep was interrupted by a pounding on his door. The boy scrambled out of bed, making his way towards the door.

"Handsome? Who is it?" Armin sleepily mumbled as he woke up to the banging as well. Logan muttered to him, telling him to go back to sleep and that he'd handle it. Logan opened the door finding a panicked looking Zoe Hange staring at him.

"Hange this better be a good damn re-" Logan was saying before he was interrupted.

"Eren's gone..." Hange said causing Logan's mind to go blank. Eren was gone? What the hell did that mean?

"What?" Logan asked, furrowing his eyebrows at his bosses words. The door squeaked open, Armin peaking his head out. Logan opened the door more for the shirtless boy to come to his side. He made his way towards the boy, wrapping his hands around his waist. Logan let his fiancé lay his head on Logan's shoulder, looking at Hange.

"He left, Kiyomi provided him with a boat and passage to Marley. He left a letter to you." Hange explained, sighing as they pulled the letter from their coat pocket, handing over a sealed envelope with 'Logan' scribbled on the front of it. Logan looked down at it, his face contorting into one of disappointment and slight anger before nodding.

"Well, there's nothing we can do about it right now so we'll deal with it tomorrow... Go get some sleep, Hange. You've been putting too much on yourself." Logan commented causing Hange to slightly smile and nod, hugging their nephew before leaving.

"Do you want me to wait for you inside?" Armin asked, placing a small kiss on Logan's collarbone. Logan shook his head, allowing Armin to read the letter that Eren left him. The boy opened it, pulling a piece of paper from the envelope.

'Dear Logan,

This seems a bit familiar huh? As much as it destroyed me back then, I do miss those days. But things are different now and like you said, they cant go back. If I know you, and I do, you're probably pretty pissed off right now, I know you won't get why I'm doing this, but I'm going to Marley and I'm going to kill all of them. I'm going to stop this war before it even begins, because I'm the only one who can. You once told me that I'm not a monster, but doing this would make me the same as Reiner and Bertholdt... I need to become the monster if I'm going to save the world. I'm not going to ask you to forgive me, but I am going to ask- to tell you. Logan, stay out of my way.'

Logan finished reading the letter as he sighed, running his hand over his face to try to wash off the disappointment before coughs erupted from his throat. Armin looked at his fiancé with a worried look on his face as he tugged on his arm to come back to bed.

The two laid in their bed, Armin's head on Logan's chest as he ran a hand over his abdomen which normally calmed the boy.

"What's in your beautiful mind, love?" Armin asked out as Logan absentmindedly played with Armin's hair, tangling his fingers in it.

"What did he mean by kill all of them?" Logan muttered, his eyes staring at the ceiling of the room. Armin sighed, placing a small kiss on the boys peck before looking up at the boy.

"Logan, you can't blame yourself for-" Armin was saying before he was cut off.

"I mean, logically thinking, there's kids there right? Babies? Family's? I mean, not all of them can be evil right?" Logan asked, his voice full of doubt and slight anger.

"Logan, what do you wanna do? Go and stop him right now? Tonight? Because say the word and we go. Without a second thought." Armin asked, placing his chin on Logan's chest, looking up at the boy. Logan lightly smiled down at the boy, before sighing.
