I just celebrated my 18th birthday last February, and it was a very magical moment for a girl like me. During my 18th birthday celebration, I was able crossed one out from my bucket list and that is to become a princess even for a day.
Every little girls dreamt to be a princess even for a day. When I was a kid, my late mother never forgot to read fairy tales for me before I sleep. I always adore how princesses look and how their princes and knight in shining armor would save them in the darkness of their times. Just like me, everyone wished to have a happy ending just like how they ended every fairy tales found in children's books.
My family really made sure that, that night will mark a special spot in my heart. I became a very beautiful princess wearing the most fascinating gown I've ever seen in my whole life. The whole venue mirrored an old aesthetic white castle, partnered with a very detailed columns and statues that matched the theme of my party. All male attendees were asked to wear formal clothing while the female ones were all wearing knee-length gowns. My mom and dad became the queen and king royalties while my brother, Jihoon, was dressed as a prince.
I was able to dance waltz with my boyfriend, Wonwoo. The whole ballroom scenario is very familiar, then I remembered that this is our second dance together, our first dance was during our promenade night. During the dance, I can't count how many times he whispered 'I love you' in my ear. And of course, I returned every I love you's he said. He's so sweet and pure, his soft side will always come out when we're just together.
My father was the last man I danced with that night and it felt like heaven. After my encounter with my biological father, I began to lose my trust in older people around me, but he changed my mindset towards elder men.
My mom and other invited people take turns to give me amazing gifts which I gladly received with a sweet smile on my face. Everything is just so beautiful until I remembered a person, yeah... him. But nevertheless- that night was incredible.
Autumn of 2013
Times flies so fast. Spring season went by in a blink of an eye. This is my second autumn being a Lee, and I can never ask more. I woke up with orange and red leaves surrounding our place. I look over my big window beside my bed and took a deep breath. Winter may be my favorite season but I can't deny the beauty of Autumn. Everything seems so colorful and bright which makes me smile every time I lay my eyes on it.
I stretched my arms and yawned with both of my eyes tightly shut. I dragged my feet to my window and opened the curtains, revealing a breathtaking sight of autumn in Seoul.
"Good morning!" I murmured to myself. I scratched my eyes and yawned once again before heading out going to the living room. I kinda... woke up a bit late than usual... I spent the whole night talking and video calling Wonwoo, because I think that's how couples spend their past time together. My eyes glanced at the wall clock, it's 10:46am.
