PRESENT DAY (2075)"She always wanted herself a happy ending just like in the pretty old fairy tales. Then now, she finally had it in her hands, together with the person she always wanted from the start. She never new that the night that almost ruined her childhood will also be the way of her finding the home she's been longing for.
Legend says 'You don't marry someone you can live with — you marry someone you cannot live without.' So did Y/N and Soonyoung who took the long road together. Hand in hand, they both faced their challenges ahead, not as a complete stranger who met in an orphanage but as a married couple who's ready to write a new novel of their lives. The End"
Soonyoung slowly flipped the final page of the book, he looked at his great grandson first before finally shutting the book close. He faintly smiled at the small figure lying beside him, he lifted his weak arms wrapping it around the boy.
"Yey! We finished the book after so many nights!" He happily said, Soonyoung gave him the book which he hugs on his chest.
"Dong hyun-ah— do you like the ending?" Soonyoung weakly said while tangling his old fingers around the boy's silky hair. Dong hyun smiled while nodding his head to his great grandfather.
The boy shifted his position, facing Soonyoung which he calls his grandpa. "I love the ending grandpa! But— what happened to two of them?" He innocently asked. Soonyoung deeply sighed, reverting his gaze to the plain hospital wall in front of him.
"All I know was... that they both lived well." Soonyoung said while trying to fight back his tears. He doesn't want his great grandson to see him crying in this situations while tubes were supporting him and life machines are right next to them.
"But grandpa... why is it that you and the guy in the book has the same name?" He questioned. Soonyoung looked back down at the child and nodded.
"We're just the same, Dong-hyun-ah"
The child's mouth opened widely in shock, he looked at his grandpa with his big eyes looking surprised. "Then who's Y/N from the story?"
Soonyoung pursed his lips, his vision started to blur with the tears forming inside his orbs. He prevents himself from blinking because he knows once he let it all out, it might lead to something worse.
"She's Lee Y/N, she's the author of this book—" Soonyoung forced to flash a smile in front of his grandson.
"—She was also my wife, your great grandmother Donghyun..." Soonyoung stopped mid sentence. He stared down at the kid beside him.
"Huh? My grandma is Ahyeong, not her"
Donghyun frowned and was left speechless while examining his grandpa's reaction. Even if he's still young, he can easily see someone's expression by simply looking at their faces. He is as just fragile as his late great grandmother, Y/N. He snugged closer to Soonyoung, hugging his weak figure.
