Time check— 10:28 PM
I was comfy lying down on my bed while facing the ceiling then I felt my tummy growling in hunger, the heck? I ate two bowls of ramen and it's not enough yet? My hands extended to reach my phone on top of my night stand, I unlocked it to check the time.
"It's late to go out... but I don't want to sleep hungry!" I murmured to myself. My body lazily stood up from to bed, I brushed my bangs backwards and wore my cap.
"Where are you going?" My older sister, Jiwoo said while eyeing me from head to toe. "Duh? I'm going out to buy some food in the convenience store".
I went to the door and opened it slowly to avoid the squeaking sounds since mom is already asleep. "I thought you'll never go to that store ever again? Changed your mind?" Jiwoo noona teasingly said to me. "Is that the only convenience store in town?" I just rolled my eyes and groaned in frustration before leaving her alone in the living room.
My foot stepped on the concrete ground outside our apartment while the cold wind hit my bare face. I scrunched my nose pulling my mask up, "wah~ the street is calm—" I sighed. I walked to the nearest 7-11 beside the building nearby. I noticed that the street lights were off, ah shit— it's closed.
I cursed under my breath, now what? Where should I go? I thought they stay up 24/7? God— I just wanna eat for fuck's sake...
I walked around to spot another 7-11 nearby, even almost all of the tteokbokki stores are also closed... what's with today?? I found myself standing in front of this specific store, what choice do I have? I'm damn hungry!
I held the cold metal bars, pulling it open. The cold air from the air conditioner welcomed me once I entered the store. There were some workers who are eating inside and a staff guarding the counter. I immediately went to the ice cream section but I thought, 'you're hungry? then why the hell will you buy ice cream?'
I shook my head and decided to go to the instant food aisle instead. My eye scanned each ramen trying to find that specific flavor I'm looking for. I almost reached the last rack of the ramen section but I still can't find the one I'm searching for. While I was squatting down, I felt my shoulder bumped into something...
I looked up to see,
"oppa!" She enthusiastically said with a wide grin. I stood up and straightened my clothes to face her.
"Rei— what are you doing here?" I told her confusedly. I can feel the awkward tension in the small space in between us. "Are you looking for this?" She said giving me the pack of the spicy ramen noodles I was looking for. I hesitantly accepted it, even though how much I wanted to avoid her hands, she still moved it closer causing our skin to touch each other. I saw her lips formed a smirk...
