Thomas's POV
"Hey sweetie!" Kaya said walking in the door and kissing me on the cheek, all I could do was smile awkwardly and say hi back. She went into the kitchen and grabbed a drink. "Want anything?" She asked. "No thanks." I said quietly. "Thomas are you okay?" She gave me a concerned look. "Well um... no actually I'm not." I thought about chickening out and just shrugging it off, but I couldn't keep such a big secret from her for so long. "What is it?" She asked grabbing my hand, but I pulled away. "I think we should break up." I finally found the courage to say it. "Why?" She seemed calmer than I thought, but that's good I guess, is it? "Im just going to say it." I paused. "Im in love with someone else." Kaya's eyes hit the floor, but there was no tears. "How long have you been in love with this 'someone else'?" She crossed her arms looking back up at me. "Since the moment I met her on set." I just wish I realized it back then, if I did I wouldn't be having this discussion right now. "It's y/n isn't it." I nodded trying not to meet her eyes. "Hey Thomas?" I looked up at her. "Don't feel bad, I'm actually kind of relived, because, well, I'm in love with Dylan." It took me a moment to realize what was happening. "Wait let me get this straight, I'm in love with your best friend, and you're in love with mine?" She nodded with a small laugh. "Hey I have an idea! If I try to get y/n to like you, will you try to get Dylan to like me?" Honestly, I thought that was a pretty good idea. "Ya okay I think that could work." I smiled. "Okay well I gotta go, no hard feelings right? We're still friends?" Kaya asked as she put on her jacket. "Definitely!"
Y/n's POV
I was hanging some of the costumes on the rack when Kaya came up to me. "So Thomas and I broke up." Suddenly my attention was peeked. I always had a thing for Thomas but never admitted it to anyone because my best friend was dating him. "Oh, what happened?" I said trying not to sound excited. "Well, he was just to kind and sweet for me, such a gentlemen, you know, offering me his jacket, giving me roses, that stuff." She said sighing, which I found a bit weird, also considering Kaya always said that's what she likes in a guy. "That's too bad." I mumbled. "Yeah, now anyone could date him." she said emphasizing 'anyone'. Maybe I should ask him out? Or is it to early? I will think about it.
Thomas's POV
I went into Dylan's dressing room to try to get him to like Kaya. I wasn't exactly a "match maker" so I don't really know how well this will go. "Hey bro!" Dylan said as I walked in. "Hi." I sat down on the couch. "So what've you been up to?" He asked before he took a bite out of a sandwich. "Kaya and I broke up." I shrugged. "That sucks, what happened?" I tried to think of something to say. "She wasn't the one I guess, I think it was just a fling, nothing serious." I sighed trying to act at least a little upset. "Well that's unfortunate, she's pretty cute, and funny." Dylan spaced out for a minute and I thought this was my chance. "Hey why don't you ask her out!" I suggested. "Really? You don't think it's to early? I mean you guys just broke up." I shook my head. "Nah it was pretty mutual, just ask her." Dylan nodded. "Okay I will."
I was getting ready to leave the set when there was a knock of my dressing room door. I turned around to see y/n. "So you and Kaya are broken up huh?" I always felt so nervous around y/n, she was just so pretty. "Yup." I said awkwardly. "You don't seem very upset." She was also very smart. "Yeah, well..." I shrugged "If it's not meant to be then it's not meant to be." She nodded in agreement. "Umm... since you and her aren't together anymore, would it be weird if I asked you to go see a movie with me or something?" I could barely breath. The girl of my dreams just asked me out. "Y-ya that sounds amazing!" I smiled. "Great." I grabbed my coat and took her hand as we walked out. On our way I spotted Dylan with his arm around Kaya. I gave her a wink and she responded with a quick thumbs up, our plan worked!
