Jeongyeon took a prolonged breath, void of the loneliness she felt at the running moment. It hadn't been a year or a month since she came here, since Jinyoung died, since the world had gone mad, it hadn't been a long time but seems like she was stuck here forever, bearing the thought of running away.
She spends her day mostly with the head healer or even with the maidservants around in every hallway, but it didn't occur to her that their absence brought her the peacefulness she never thought she needed, probably to sort out the reasons why she had felt this way—confused, undecided, still standing in the middle of nowhere.
Jeongyeon groaned under her breath when no resolution came into view. Made her way out of the garden and into the path of her room, thinking there's nothing much to do, she had decided to just keep everything to herself.
If she still can.
But the sereness of the air that whipped her skin when she opened the door had ceased low, watching from the near corner, only beside the bed, someone.
"Lady Dahyun." The princess greeted, toyed of the moment that she can't form a response. "I—I didn't expect you to come here. I'm sorry if you waited, I was out in the garden."
"Quite bored wasn't it?"
Jeongyeon flashed a faint smile, finally taking a seat at the edge of the bed.
"Yes."
"Everybody was busy for the past few days; I hope you do understand Jeongyeon." Dahyun explained. "Sometimes, unexpected things happen in a much unexpected time."
The last words rung inside her ears and as if it carried a hidden meaning, the paint of her ghost smile threaded her sanity when the healer turned to her for a second, then back to the stems of plants atop the table, only realizing the healer was moving a bouquet of various flowers in the empty floral vase. Jeongyeon took a huffy breath, wanting more to ask about the urgency, but even with the curiousness pounding her still mind, she let go of the matter.
"I see." She stood beside her, trying to lift the gloomy aura, Jeongyeon perked her head as she watches her silently.
"I didn't saw you at the garden earlier." She addressed, watching with pure curiosity the way the healer moved the flowers with grace. "And I don't know you are fond of these."
"Believe me, I don't." The latter answered with a laugh. "I don't fancy flowers, Jeongyeon. Much more like to keep a ton of it in my room but the princes do, one specifically." She looked at her with a bright smile. "I didn't get this from the garden, it was bought outside."
The princess gawked at the idea but she, with the handful child in her, watched her still. At least with the colors, it brought to the room, Jeongyeon shortly forgotten what had kept her mind all day, wondering, thinking, choosing between options, that after a fretful reflection, she is to breathe new air.
