Kyōtani POV

Since it was Saturday, the kids were free to do whatever activities they wanted. Me and Yahaba were ordered to watch over the kids playing volleyball.

There were surprisingly a lot of kids who played volleyball, and they were amazing at it. Admitting someone was better than me was one of myself weaknesses, but this one kid was amazing at his spikes and he's like- 5'2".

Personally, I like to spike with all my force or I don't feel satisfied enough. Back then, I was a reckless player, Iwaizumi was there to keep me in check.

There was also another third year, Matsukawa, he was nice and chill. Was supposed to come here with us this year, but his job at a funeral place keeps him occupied. People need to stop dying sometimes- that sounds so bad.

But, me and Yahaba sat there watching the kids, making sure no fights happen and that no one gets hurt. I helped them keep track of the points as they played as well, it was fun.

"Nice serve!" One of the girls yelled, the teams were a mix of both girls and boys.

The boy did an underhand serve, the ball hitting it directly onto the ground, making their team win that set.

All of them roared in happiness, the other side only hyping up even more. Watching them play reminded me of when I was younger- which makes me sound like I'm 50 years old.

Most of them who were in our group and didn't know how to play volleyball, were actually having fun and slowly getting better.

"My favorite thing about volleyball is that you have people around you to help you improve. You can be a total beginner and turn into an amazing player." Yahaba expressed to me, a smile on his face as he watched the kids play, and I agree with him. Even though when I used to play I was competitive and wasn't the type to ask for help, my team was basically family to me.

The day was finally over, all the kids ate dinner and were sent back up to their cabins. Me and Yahaba decided to hang out by the lake again, watching the sunset.

"Excited for the volleyball tournament?" I ask as I sat down next to him on the dock, "Mhm. People around here are surprisingly good at volleyball,". It was true, I'm pretty sure it was more popularized by some volleyball anime, and now everyone wants to play it.

There was a turtle swimming around in the water, I watched it and decided to point it out to Yahaba, "Look, it's a turtle,", my finger points at the creature. He leaned closer over the water, "omg it's so adorable!! I had a pet turtle and his name was Egg, but he passed away at 25 years."

"Damn, 20 years?"

"Yeah, he was 14 when we got him, so he lives 11 years with us! My dad loves turtles, and Im pretty sure I was 4 when he first got Egg."

"I'm sorry- but what's with the name, Egg?"

"Hey! It's a good name! But, my mom says when I was little, I would call him Egg and soon everyone called him that so,"

I chuckled, having a turtle seems nice but it's probably a lot of work. Plus, I prefer mammals, "What's your favorite animal?" I ask him, curious.

"Oh! I'm a reptile person, I love geckos!"

"Ah, I like mammals. Dogs and Rabbits."

"Cute!- I mean the animals are cute-," he mumbled, facing the water in embarrassment.

That made me chuckle, I squeeze his shoulder and noticed the turtle was swimming away. There was a T shaped stripe on his back, which was cool.

Teenage mutant ninja turtles

I felt Yahaba place his head on my shoulder, we both watched as the sun set slowly. We could hear Shirabu yell at Semi from the plaza, making us chuckle.

"You can't just kiss me!!! Frick you!!" He yelled, and we could hear Semi laughing.

Once it was dark, we got up and I walked Yahaba to his cabin. Outside was that Oikawa guy.

"Goodnight," I say to him with a smirk as I start walking away and got a "Night," back.

Yahaba POV

When I noticed Oikawa at the door, I wasn't pleased, "What's going on between you and mr. buzzcut?" the idiot brunette asked as I walked towards the door, "None of your fucking business..."

I stormed into the cabin, Oikawa following me, "C'mon! Why won't you talk to me!"

Ignoring him, I walk into Semi and Kindaichi's room in the cabin, "Yo, Kindaichi, do you mind switching rooms for a while?"

"Huh? Why?"

"Well, its just that a certain someone is being annoying right now... Is that okay with you?"

"Oh, sure,"

"Alright, we can switch sheets,"

He nodded and began taking his sheets off his bed, then I walked into my room to get mine. "I can't believe you're doing this..." Oikawa said, this time in a more serious-pouty tone, "You have no right to talk...".

"What do you mean?"

"You know what I mean... First, you drag me here thinking it was gonna be a fun summer for us! Have fun camping in the woods TOGETHER, BUT NO- you bring me here to third wheel you and some random guys relationship. I have always been there for you for your stupid relationships and I'm TIRED OF IT. So, respectfully, FUCK YOU, FUCK IWAIZUMI, FUCK YOUR MOM, FUCK YOUR DAD, AND FUCK YOUR EX."

I took my sheets and stormed away, leaving Oikawa shocked standing there. Semi heard everything, he just came back from his make-out session with Shirabu probably.

God I'm tired of relationships, dating in general. First, my mom left me to date some fucking dick bag homophobic CEO, my dad started dating some dick choking whore, and both of them forgot about me. Now my fucking best friend is leaving me for some fuck-boy looking--

"Are you okay-?" Kindaichi asked me, I just noticed I was putting my sheets on his bed sobbing, "Y-yeah... it's nothing."
