Kyōtani POV

Today was an exciting day for everyone, today we were holding the volleyball tournament. The boy cabins will be going against each other, same for the girls cabins.

When Yahaba came down, his eyes were puffy and red- was he crying?

"Hey, are you okay?" I ask him, holding his arms, "Yeah! Me and my best friend of almost 6 years just broke up! I'm totally fine!" He began breaking my down, my hands immediately wiping the tears from his face.

"If you wanna skip today thats fine, I'll tell them you aren't feeling well-,"

"No! It's fine, I wanna be here to support the boys!"

His expression changed drastically, a smile appearing in his face and tears stopped flowing down, "Alright," I sighed and squeezed his face.

Soon, the bell rang like usual, signaling that it was breakfast time.

Wednesday is when all the kids will be leaving, which is sad. But, it's only a school field trip so they can't stay for long. A lot of them promised to come back when summer camp officially starts (which is all summer-long), which made me happy.

"I wanna be just like you, Kyōtani-Senpai!" One of the boys told me, which made me smile so much it was stupid. Couldn't get that stupid smile off my face for the rest of the day.

After a while, maybe an hour or two to make sure all the kids had their food digested and that they wouldn't get cramps, that's when the volleyball tournaments started.

There was a bigger volleyball net on a small beach, which was just a gigantic lake with sand. Eh, still a beach.
(Inspired by the Beach by Lake Michigan)

Our first team we will be competing against is the Shiba Cabin, and most of the boys there were tall, which worried our smaller players.

But, they all tried their best, and it was a fun game to watch. All of them scored one point by serving, which made me happy, and two volleyball players who were spikers really helped our team out.

Me and Yahaba cheered for them, he really seemed to feel better as he watched them play, which made me feel better.

We won the game, the other team getting to eat popsicles by the plaza, which was totally worth it to them.

Then, we'll be competing with the Cobra Cabin who just won against the Wolf Cabin, whoever wins this one will get the prize.

They played well and held up a good game, but our cabin pushed through. We had to swap some of our players because they got exhausted, Mrs. Kiyoko giving them water and snacks.

"YOU GUYS GOT THIS!" Yahaba yelled, which kinda shocked me at first but it was kinda relieving, "LETS GOO!" I yelled.

All of them did amazing and it made me proud. If we get this point, then we'll win and get the prize.

Our weakest server was up, but we were all confident in him, "Nice serve!" One of the boys yelled. He did an overhand serve, successfully getting it over the net, a boy on the other side ran towards the ball and touched it, but the ball dropped out, meaning it was our point.

"YEAHHHHHH!!" I yelled, jumping up, which startled Yahaba slightly. Everyone in our cabin ran towards me and Yahaba, giving each other hugs and high fives.

The other team got popsicles like the other losing teams, but for our prize, we got a picture taken and hanged up in the office next to the other teams and everyone in our cabin got mini trophies.

It was nice, but to make sure very one feels better, there was a big feast. Everyone was happy and seemed to feel better, despite losing, to them losing was worth it because they got popsicles in the end.

"That was fun," Yahaba sighed, a genuine bright smile drawn on his face, "Yeah, glad you had fun." I responded.

"So, you survived one week of camp as a CIT and now there's only 3 more days until you have to leave."

"Yeah, guess so," he sighed.

"Think you'll be here for summer camp?"

Yahaba looked up me with a confused look in his face, "Wait- this isn't summer camp?" he asked me, and I chuckled, "This was a field trip, summer doesn't start until June,".

His mouth formed an "O" shape and let out an "ohh" sound as he nodded, "Well, I'll be here for summer camp then!", I smiled at him and continued eating.

I'm glad he's happy.
