Chapter Twenty-Two: New Trainee

Minhye Pov

"Wake up!!"

I jumped out of bed and frantically looked around. What's going on?

"Ahahaha!!" I heard a lot of laughing.

I looked to the door and saw Mino. I glared in his direction.

"What is it?" I asked coldly.

"What is this? Do you want to be late on your first day as a yg trainee?"

I gasped. I got up and rushed to get ready.

In the end I just wore black sweatpants, a white t shirt, a comme des fuckdown snapback, and a pair of black and white running shoes.

"I'm ready, let's go!" I shouted to Mino while running out to the car where he was waiting.

"Its about time." He laughed.

I rolled my eyes and stepped into the car.

"What's it like at yg?" I asked curiously.

He chuckled.

What's so funny?

"Hell."

What...

"YG can be pretty strict. They want to make sure your 100% prepared for debut. Literally."

I gulped. That should be a good thing right? So why do I feel so uneasy?

"Sounds..fun." I mumbled.

"Hey, don't freak out. It will be fun, I promise you. Now get out, we're here already."

I prepared myself for the worst and followed Mino inside the trainee building.

I walked in and Mino dragged me towards the receptionist.

"Excuse me, where will the new trainees be going?" Mino asked.

She told him the location while I looked around the lobby. There were plenty of couches and tables, etc. It was basically like a comfort room.

"Come on Minhye, its this way."

We took the elevator to a big dance/recording studio.

We entered and all eyes were on me. Well..mainly Mino, but some were focused on me. Or glaring, I should say?

"Miss Song, I thought you had gotten lost." The instructor laughed.

It seemed more lighthearted than Mino made it seem.

"The female trainees have it better. But not by much. Its your first day, don't expect it to be like a boot camp..yet." He whispered to me.

I let out a deep sigh. I didn't even know I was holding it in.

"Minhye, would you like to introduce yourself?"

I nodded.

"My name is Song Minhye, I'm 18 years old. I'm a Senior in high school."

"Minhye, please sit wherever you'd like."

I nodded and sat next to the closest person.

"Alright. First we will see where you are at in singing. Sing any song you would like. Minhye, since you were late, please start us off."

What? I'm not prepared...I see what Mino meant. Now what's a good song? I want something that makes you want to get up and dance...

I started to sing You Hoooo!!! by Seungri. I love that song a lot, you can't just sit still while listening.
