Chapter Twenty-Three: Fast Forward

A lot has happened since I became a trainee for yg.

My friends, Hae Jin, Naeun, and Jaekyung had switched over to sm. I guess yg just wasn't their style.

I had gotten more fit with the workouts Mr.Kim made us do. Dancing constantly helped out too. My vocals improved a lot and my rapping got more solid.

Eventually, I got moved out of my usual classes and was put into some sort of advanced class. I guess I could call it that. There were three other girls there as well. So I guess its a good thing, I was happy that I may debut soon after all.

YG had confirmed it a few months ago. He said that Jin Ah, Anna, Soo Jin, and I would debut. I don't know if I should be happy about that or not. We'll probably get a lot of hate. Fans have been waiting patiently for a bunch of groups to comeback. I don't think they would appreciate YG debuted a new girl group right now.

We practiced a lot after that. We got our positions already and were working on songs. We only composed two of our songs. YG thought it would be better to go with the producers and songwriters for our first album. Anyway, back to positions. I'm the main rapper. Soo Jin is our leader and lead rapper. Anna is our main vocal. And last but not least, Jin Ah is our Maknae, dancer, and lead vocals.

Our debut song is titled 'Maze.' Our theme is supposed to be like a puzzle. People will figure out things about us little by little.

Anyway, I still keep in touch with my first friends here, Hae Jin, Jae Kyung, and Naeun. They are debuting around the same time as us.

"Minhye its time!"

I got up from my spot in the waiting room, letting the stylists fix my outfit and touch up my make up. Once they were done with me I ran out to where the other girls were.

The staff sent us the signal to start. Taking a deep breath we all stepped onto the stage. I stepped forward and began to rap as the smoke settled around us. Soo Jin joined in at the end of the verse and Anna sang her lines. We became still as the music picked up. We got into formation as Jin Ah jumped over us and we began the dance. Anna sang the chorus and Jin Ah sang her line. Soo Jin began rapping and then the rest of the verse went to me. The chorus started again and then we were done.

"That was amazing girls." Our manager said as we got off stage.
"Remember you still have introductions after the last group goes. Its a new girl group from sm. You have competition, make sure you stand out."

We nodded.

"Hey, aren't the girls from that group your friends? They trained at yg right?" Soo Jin asked.

"Yep. YG wasn't really their style I guess."

She nodded.

"C'mon girls let's go!"

We got back on stage and waited for the MCs to introduce us. And of course, lucky for me, Baekhyun was standing right there staring straight at me.

"And now we have YG's new girl group Black Pearl!" He announced.

We introduced ourselves.

"We are Black Pearl!"

"Hello I am Black Pearl's leader and lead rapper Lee Soo Jin!"

"Hello I am Black Pearl's main vocal Anna Choi!"

"Hello I am Black Pearl's main rapper Song Minhye!"

"Hello I am Black Pearl's Maknae, lead vocal, and main dancer Kim Jin Ah!"

"Wow! Black Pearl, YG's new girl group surprised us with their powerful song and dance right? Congratulations on your debut! Now, we introduce SM's new girl group B.U.T.!"

"Hello we are the beautiful B.U.T.~"

"Hello, I am B.U.T's leader and main rapper Lee Hae Jin~"

"Hello I am B.U.T's eldest and lead vocal Park Jae Kyung~"

"Hello I am B.U.T.'s maknae, main dancer, and visual Kim Naeun~"

"Hello I am B.U.T's main vocal Park Sohee~"

"Wow, B.U.T. congrats on your debut today~ Everyone loved their song U right?!"

After our debut we had a big party. The B.U.T. members said we should have a joint party. I don't think Sohee liked the idea though. Since we would have so many people there we went to this place right outside of Seoul. There were a ton of guests. And my parents, luckily, made it to the party. There were so many idols here, and they were all congratulating us and B.U.T..

"It looks like someone wants your attention." Jinhwan said while walking up to me.

"What? Who.." I turned to where he was looking and saw him staring at me.

I sighed and walked over to him. The rest of the exo members were around him but I focused on Sehun for now.

"Why are you staring at me? If you want to talk to me then go ahead." I said.

"How's YG?" He asked.

"Fun."

The other guys stopped what they were doing and stared at us. They could feel the cold atmosphere around us.

"I wish you chose SM."

"Why?"

"Because we could see eachother more often."

"Its too late for that Sehun. If you had told me that before I might have changed my mind. But still, I love it at YG. I'm not sorry for choosing them."

He was about to respond when Mino came up to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

"What's going on here?"

The guys looked shocked.
