Chapter 1

I was at Robusta Tome, a coffee shop near my university. This has been my study place kapag nagsasawa ako o naliliitan sa study table ko sa dorm. Gusto ko ang matapang na amoy ng kape sa buong lugar, nagigising ang diwa ko at ginaganahan akong mag-aral dahil na rin sa maaliwalas ang lugar, hindi masyadong malaki pero iba talaga ang ambiance nakakagaan ng pakiramdam. Iniayos ko ang mga gamit ko sa lamesa and I was occupying the whole space. Ayos lang naman siguro dahil wala namang sumisita sakin at wala pa rin namang masyadong tao. No wonder, its just 6 in the morning.

"Ey! You busy?" I slightly freaked out when someone sit infront of me

"Yeah, so please, Avery" I said sounding uninterested. Ibinalik ko ang tingin ko sa anatomy and physiology book na binabasa ko. I saw him shrugged his shoulders and get up. Probably got the idea that today's not a good day for flirting. Just when I thought he's totally gone, he put a cup of coffee beside my laptop.

"Keep going, you can do it" written in the sticky note. I looked at him and he just wink, then leave the shop for real. Yeah! What a total flirt.

I don't really like coffee but since it's here might as well be greatful and take a sip.

I try hard not to think of him, but bitch I just can't get him out of my mind, that jerk. I concede defeat and reviewed my notes and books with him having half of my focus. I wonder how I was able to do that, I mean studying and was able to understand everything with him on my mind, amazing huh!

Hindi ko alam kung ilang oras na akong nandito sa shop at nagbabasa not until my phone ring. Reminder lang na kailangan ko na magpack up dahil may morning class pa ako. Sakto lang din dahil nararamdaman ko na ang pagod at medyo nahihilo at nagsasawa na ako kakabasa at kakakabisado ng human body parts.

I looked at the huge wall clock in the cafe, i'm not kidding it's huge and was literally a clock on wall, that doesn't matter tho. It's 8:15 am and I have a class at 9:00 am. I reach out for my small thick notebook of my to-dos and cross out the fifth task on the list which is to start reviewing for the upcoming midterm exam. I started organizing my things, i start with my highlighters and I put it by the order of colors on rainbow, you know ROYGBIV, I always do it this way followed by my file case, then my books and notebooks arranged on how my subject was scheduled today. And then, my laptop.

Nag-intay lang ako ng jeep na papunta sa gate 3 dahil malapit sa gate 2 ang coffee shop, masyadong malayo kung maglalakad ako at baka di ako umabot sa klase. I can't drive because I am literally panicking when i'm sitting at the driver's seat, yah know, just thoughts on my mind that i might cause accidents and trouble or something.

Malapit sa building ng department ni Avery ang babaan namin. Nang makababa ako ay mabagal akong naglalakad, sinasadya, nagbabakasakaling makita ko siya.

"Sane!" There he goes. Nakita ko siyang nagpaalam sa mga kabarkada niya bago lumapit sakin

"Yeah?" I asked, not looking at him

"Tapos ka na magreview?"

"Yep,thank you pala sa pakape mo" nakangiti kong sabi, pinipigilang ipakita ang kilig kasi duh! hindi naman kami. I don't want to be branded as marupok

" Kape? I can always give you more than that" nanunukso niyang sabi na inirapan ko lang "so, saan punta mo ngayon?" Pag-uumpisa niya ulit ng mapag-uusapan

"Need to go to my morning class"

"Hatid kita"

"Wala ka bang klase?"

"Itetext naman ako nila Jeremy kapag may klase" natatawa niyang sagot

"What? Where's your schedule?" Naiinis na tanong ko
