Chapter 11

*A.I.P.O.V*

*2 months later*

I woke up in a sweat. I was burning up and coughing really bad. My breath was ragged and I was wheezing. Something was wrong I could feel it. Tears started falling as I crawled to the edge of my bed and grabbed my phone. I called the only person I could think of right now. Luke.

After the 2nd or 3rd ring he picked up.

" Hello? " he asked sleepily.

"H-help m-me"i wheezed out.

"Ashton what's wrong? Are you okay? Please talk to me" he was suddenly wide awake now.

" p-please"I said coughing louder.

" Ashton hold on I'll be right there"

I laid there on the bed struggling to breath. Tears falling down my face as I sobbed into the sheets,which just made my breathing worse then I felt it the same feeling I felt 2 months ago. I felt the darkness.

The flashes of memories went through my mind. All the time I spent with Luke,Calum and Michael. The time I spent watching movies with my little brother and sister. Everything that has ever happened to me in my life. Then Luke flashed one last time and everything went dark as I heard a faint yell of my name.

*L.H P.O.V*

I ran up Ashton's stairs after busting through the front door.

" Ashton!" I screamed as I saw him laying lifeless on his bed.

I ran over as tears fell from my eyes. I checked to see if he was breathing and I saw that he was but barely. I picked him up and held him close to me and ran out of his house and to the hospital. I was surprised at how fast I ran. I just wanted Ashton to be okay.

"Help please!" I yelled.

Doctors and nurses rushed over and took Ashton from me as they laid him on the bed.

"He stopped breathing. Get him to the ER now!" a nurse yelled.

They took Ashton away I tried to run after them. But a nurse held me back saying to wait in the waiting room.

"Ashy" I whispered. Watching as they took him away.

The nurse took me to the waiting room and I sat down on one of the chairs and pulled my knees to my chest and started crying into them. I almost lost Ash once I can't loose him again.

I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and called Mikey. After the 3rd ring he answered.

"Hello?" He asked in a sleepy tone.

"M-Mikey" I sobbed out.

"Luke what's wrong?" Mikey asked sounding wide awake now.

A whimper left my lips as my eyes closed."I-Its Ash"I choked out.

" Luke where are you? What happened?"He asked worried.

" I'm at the hospital please please come here I don't want to be alone right now" I sobbed into my knees.

" I'll be right the there I promise" he said "bye and Luke everything will be okay" then he hung up and I just sat there sobbing into my knees. I want Ashton to be okay I want him to be here with me. I haven't even got to take him out on a date yet.

A couple minutes later Mikey and Calum walked through the doors. I looked over at them and as soon as Mikey saw my face he ran over and hugged me Cal doing the samething. I cried in the there arms as Cal rubbed my back.

Soon after that I started calming down. They always seem to find a way to make me feel better. I sniffled and looked up at them.

"Luke what happened?"Calum asked carefully.

I shut my eyes a sob excaping my lips. Mikey rubbed my back as I told them what happened from when I woke up to a call from Ash. To when I drove over to his house.

"W-when I walked into that room and I saw him laying on that bed. It felt just like it did 2 months ago. It felt like I was l-losing him all over again. He wasn't breathing well and I still don't know what happened." I said then I buried my head in my knees.

" Luke I'm so sorry you should not have had to see that again."Calum said.

Then the doctor called out Ashton's name. I was up in no time as I walked over to him.

"Y-yeah?" I sniffled out.

"Well it seems that we've found out what has happened to Ashton." He said with a sad look on his face.

" W-what? What is it?" I said.

" I'm sorry to say this,but we did some tests and we seem to have found cancer in his lungs."

Right then nothing mattered anymore I just needed my Ashy.

"Room" I choked out.

"Room" I said again a bit louder then I expected.

"Room 24"

I pushed past him, Mikey and Cal. I ran down the hall way and past every door until I reached room 24. I stopped abruptly at the door and opened it slowly. I heard sniffles and that broke my heart even more then it was before.

" A-ashy?" I said softly as I walked around the corner.

" Lukey" he sobbed out.

I ran over to his side and wrapped my arms around him. He buried his face in my chest and I held him close.

" Lukey p-please don't leave me p-please" he choked out.

I shook my head"Never Ashy never" I said kissing the top on his head.

He moved over a little and I knew he wanted me to lay with him. So I did and I was careful of the oxygen tube around his head and I held him close to me like he would drift away if I ever let him go. I started rubbing his back lightly as he started to soon calm down.

" Lukey what's going to happen?"Ashton said softly as his head laid on my chest.

" I don't know Ashy I don't know. But the one thing I do know is that I'll always be right here by your side."I said kissing his forhead.

" Thank you Lukey " he said then looked up at me.

I leaned down and kissed him lightly then pulled away and rested my forehead against his. I rubbed his hip lightly and held him close.

Then a knock was heard. Ashton laid his head back down on my chest as Mikey and Calum walked through the doors.

" Hey Ash" Calum said.

" Hey" Mikey said waving slightly.

" Hi " Ashton said softly looking up at them.

It was silent for a couple of minutes then we all started laughing.

" since when are we so awkward" Ashton giggled.

" I have no idea" Calum giggled back.

After we all started calming down Mikey sat down in a chair while Calum leaned against the wall. I looked down at Ashton and saw his eyes looked droopy and I kissed his head.

" Ashy gets some rest" I said softly feeling a little sleepy myself.

He nods and soon were both falling asleep in each others arms.

A/N next chapter will be another Malum chapter just because there hasn't been that much in the book I'll try and add some into the story love you guys!
