Chapter 10
Mia- few months later.
It was a week until my 17th birthday. The past few months have been nothing but training and school.  Poppy and Courtney have been a life line. I feel like i have changed and grown. I never used to freely call people out of their bullshit. I never used to feel the need to let out aggression. I became a lot more protective of others around me too.
Even the blonde barbie had toned down her attitude. She wasnt so bad either when she wasnt trying to hard to be a bitch.
I had been spending some time at Poppys pack. Since we become close friends and had movie nights together. Permission had to be granted by their Alpha and ours though. I was able to learn that other packs ran differently too.  I enjoy learning about it. I ended up going back and asking to learn more about how our pack did things.
I was finding myself.  That was until this week.
I had been feeling.. in a word erratic.  My moods where flipping like a switch. Both me and Dusk where affected by it. I went from laughing to fuming in the space of a second.
My senses where going crazy.  I could smell more and further  then i should be able too. Same with my sight and hearing. Whispers where like shouts. Shouts where extremely mind piercing.
Here i was in my room on the floor holding my head, screaming with all the pain going through my mind.
I could hear everything all at once. Everything all the way into town.
My Father immediately called the Alpha.
I could hear him running from the pack house to ours. A wolf couldn’t normally hear that far.  He wasn’t alone. The Luna was coming too.
I couldn’t focus on just them though that’s what was making it worse.  It was like i was losing the ability to control them.
I screamed again was another wave of all the sounds hit me. 
I heard the Alpha and Luna rushing up the stairs. I scream again as they reached my bedroom door.
“Mia what is it? Tell us what’s going on" Alpha Max asked.
I couldn’t even answer with words just a scream.
“Maybe Xzavier can help?” the Luna said.
How can he help? I thought but it was quickly washed away as my senses went into overload again.
The stayed with me for 30 minutes holding me down as i screamed. Staying quite when they noticed talking didn’t help.  They didnt understand i could hear their hearts beating, smell everything.
I was in a sense over load when Xzavier arrived.
He rushed to my side as another piercing scream left me.  He grabbed me and held me tight.  Then all my sense overload lessened slowly. I was still getting to much still able to smell to far hear to far and when i opened my eyes see every miniscule detail. But i could focus them again.
So i focused on Xzavier until I was able to catch my breath. My whole body was trembling
“Don’t talk to loud” i whisper i knew everyone was in the room waiting.
“My senses are going crazy. I can smell  all the way to the diner in town. I can hear everything from the heartbeats in this room to the car pulling in 3 miles away. I can see the little droplet of sweat on my fathers forehead as if i had it under a microscope. But i couldn’t focus in one any of it..... it was like an overload to my system. Piercing  pain in my mind.” Xzavier hadn’t let me go held me through all of that.
“Maybe we should call Callie? It could be because she gain her wolf early” my mom Whispered.
“No she would have told us. I think its more then just this . She’s been erratic all week. Her moods have been like whiplash. She’s been zooning in on things that we haven’t been able to pick up on. At first we thought it might be due to ermm... heat. But now i think its something else. Maybe the reason why her eyes are a glowing Amber.” Jackson added. His voice Remaining to a whisper.
Xzavier pulled back then and look at my eyes. Then he pulled away entirely and grabbed my hand held mirror and held it up to show me.
My eyes where Amber. My wolfs eyes but they where glowing.
‘Dusk'
No response.
“Dusk isn’t responding”
“She may just be worn out. Give her time" Xzavier added.
I looked to the Luna then “how did you know Xzavier would help?”
“Well  i didnt for sure but...”
“I’m you mate" Xzavier interrupted.
My eyes shot to him. The others gently left the room and closed the door behind them.
I could see Xzavier’s hands shake and the muscle in his jaw tick as he clenched it. He was afraid i would reject him..
“Well that explains a lot actually.  Your protectiveness . the touching the glances when you thought i wasn’t looking. The way you make me feel.”
“How do i make you feel?” i could see his eye glimmering with hope
“safe protected wanted.  How your the first person ive found attractive enough to want to kiss... how your touches calm me but excite me at the same time"
“Oh thank god!” he said he pulled me back into a hug. “i was afraid you had friend zoned me and would reject me.”
“Never. But maybe we could discuss this later when i cant hear how intently everyone is trying to listen in.”
“Yes one problem at a time.”
Xzavier got up and walk to my bedroom door But as he got to far away i struck with another blinding pain.
He came rushing back over. I could focus my senses with him near. I need to find a way to control it so it wasn’t to much all at the same time.
“Maybe dont walk to far away” i said breathing heavy.
He nodded and we both headed downstairs.
We spent some time helping me focus my senses.
“Someone’s just pulled up at the Pack house” i said.
“It's the Beta couple. Jacksons parents.... hmm they have homemade biscuits” i added
I watched as the Alpha Linked his Beta.
“She's right.. ive also just filled him in on what’s going in here. Hes on his way".
I started sniffing the air my head whipping to the side. The direction of town.
“What is it?”
I ran outside and sniffed again. Blood and nit just a little blood either.
“Blood" i said. I shifted instantly and went running following my nose.  I smelt 3 distinct scents. One only young. Extremely young.  But there was another but it appeared masked hard to pick up on.
I ended up about 15 yards from the pack border. I picked up the masked scent again i could tell it was male. And only strong wolves can mask their scent.
I heard others behind me following my lead.
Then i heard someone running in human form away from us. It was one of the scents i had pick up before. It was rouge.
When i came across a women holding her bleeding side could tell she had been bitten buy a wolf.  She was a wolf too. Not from our pack.
‘Get her to the pack hospital.’ The beta link to us all so we knew what was happening but it was orders to the 2 guards that had joined in the chase.
‘It wasn’t the rogue that did this. He was trying to help' i said as i ran in the direction of the rouge.
‘How can you possibly be certain of that’ the Beta argued.
‘Because there’s a 4th scent its masked but its there. I know your higher ranked but please trust me the rogue didn’t do this. Don’t kill him take him for questioning.’
‘I trust her’ xzavier said
‘Me too dad’ Jackson added.
I caught up to the rogue.  Who instantly stopped running. He paddled back a bit as he looked into my eyes. Drop to his knees and kept his hands up and head bowed. Trying to show he wasn’t a threat.
Xzavier shifted to human form so he could talk to the Rogue.
“The women..”
“i didn’t do it i swear it wasn’t me. I was trying to stop the bleeding. Then i heard you all running and i panicked and ran im sorry. Im not a threat” he rambled so fast. He was scared we would kill him.
“I know you didn’t do it because she believes you didn’t,  did you see who did?” Xzavier asked pointing at me and one point.
“No”
I sniffed the air looking for the scent that had Dusk pacing. The Young scent. 
As i picked it up i turned and ran.
“Danmit Mia” Xaziver said as he shifted and ran after me.
‘Take him back for questioning.’
‘Mia what is going on'
‘Stop stay there’ i mind linked back to Xzavier not giving him an answer to his question
I shift to my human form walked a little closer to the tiny figure hiding behind a tree. Then crouched down to hide my naked body
“Hey there, sweet girl. Its ok we arnt going to hurt you. I know your scared right now but we are going to take good care of your mommy. Would you like me to take you her.” I spoke in a soft tone and held out my hand. I was hoping the little girl would chose to trust me.
She slowly came from hiding behind the tree and took my hand.
I gave her a smile.
“Have you seen mommy’s wolf” i asked wanting to know how much she understood.
“Yes" she said hesitantly.
‘xzavier walk towards us slowly please. Let her ride your wolf back’
‘Of course'.
“This is my friend Xzavier, hes very big but very cuddly like your wolf teddy here. Would you like to ride him so we can take you to mommy?”
The small girl looked at him. Stepped back a bit but then smiled when Xzavier lowered to the ground tilting his head to the side.
It was a cute look.
She nodded and placed her on his back and shift back into my wolf. We ran back together.
We made it to my house where my mom was waiting i had linked her to inform her of the pup we where bringing.
She was stood outside with Clothes for us to change in to.
I shifted back and lowered the little girl off Xzavier.
“This is my mom, shes going to get you cleaned up and some food and i will be right back to see you ok. Does that sound good?”
“I want to see my mommy" she cried.
“I know sweetie. And ill take you to see her i promise, but Mommy got hurt and is getting help from some doctors and to see her you need to be all clean. Can you do that for me?” i said brushing some hair out of her face.
She nodded and gave her little hand a kiss as my mom lead her into the house.
I throw on the clothes my mom had given me and turned to face Xzavier.
“You where really good with her” he said with a huge smile on his face.
“ Down wolf. I know what your picturing. That is going to need to be a conversation for later”
“I know. We should head to the pack house. Your eyes are still amber so i need you to come with me i cant do what i need to if your going to be in pain"
I nodded.

We went straight into the alphas office. The beta family where there my father and the Luna. Xzavier just walked in with me to follow.
“Alright now that we are all here. There’s a couple of things we need to discuss. First the Rouge.  Are you certain it wasnt him? No one else picked up the any other scents”
The Alpha asked looking to me.
“And no one else would have been able to smell her blood from my house either. So yes Im certain there was a 4th scent it seemed masked.”
“ A 4th?” the Beta asked confused.
“Sorry i forgot to send the message about that. The women has a daughter, around 3. Mia found her hiding. We Brought her back she with her Mia’s mom now” 
“Alright the rogue is refusing to talk to anyone but you. The one with the amber eyes he said. The women is currently being seen to by the doctors. They do think she will make a full recovery.”
I Sighed in relief at that.
“Do we know who she is yet? That little girl has a daddy somewhere” i said.
“We don’t not yet.”
I nodded again
“The elders found something too. What we think might have something to do with you Mia” the beta said
I Looked up sharply.
He held a book out i walked over and took.
“Blood Blessed” it had across the top of the page.
“What does that mean?” My father asked.
“Well the elders think Mia may be a Blood moon Blessed wolf.  The book goes in to detail about what it means and what happens. It  explains why she has that patch of red fur, Amber eyes for her wolf, her strength that matches or could precede an Alphas.”
Small gasps escape those in the room.  I looked up sharply towards the beta and he nodded.
“ a blood moon blessed wolf is a extremely rare. They can be identified by the red patches of fur when in wolf form and amber eyes.
It can only happen when a new born pup is born on the night of a blood moon.  If the pup is male they will have an unpresented amount of strength and command. However they will also have an unpresented amount of aggression and will be more volatile towards others.  A blood bless Male wolf could be the downfall of Many other wolves.
However if the pup is female her power will be unmatched. She will be strong, as strong or stronger then an Alpha Wolf.  She will have the ability to become stronger then her opponent in any fight.  She will also have heightened senses more so then your average wolf.  She will be skilled in any ability she attempts and will become fiercely protective of others a female blood blessed wolf is the only down fall to a blood blessed male wolf.  If the female gains her wolf in the year if a Blood moon she will experience Erratic behaviour, such as mood swings, loss of control on their senses which will become even more heightened and an unmatched level of need to protect.   On this year she will also gain special abilities. These abilities are unknown as they are unique to the individual wolf"i read out loud.
This is insane.
There is a silence in the room.  
I slam the book down on the table, the thud pulling everyone out of their stupor.
“Take me to the Rogue” i say. I wasn’t ready to talk about this
“Mia-"
“ i know, just let me get my head around it. Then ill talk”
They nodded and the Beta lead us down to the cells, where they where holding the rogue.

The unlocked the cell. They had him cuffed to a bed so i stayed at the door.
“What’s your name?... i dont want to keep calling you rogue. Its derogatory and your not an uncivilised wolf."
“It's Adrian”
“Ok Adrian. I’m Mia. I’m guessing your a rouge by choice. Why where you near our pack borders?”
“ My Alpha was challenged and killed by another. The new Alpha was cruel and heartless. Killed anyone who wanted to leave. So i played it smart. I left without telling anyone. My parents died when i was young. All i have is my brother who is in silver lake pack now with his mate.  I was approaching the border to ask permission to pass through so i could see if the silver lake Alpha would accept me into his pack.  I got closer and i smelt her blood. So i went to investigate when i got there i got the faintest glimpse of black wolf with a white tipped tail.  I tried to help her. Then i heard you running.... and i panicked i didnt want to be killed so i ran.”
“Why did you choose to only speak to me?”
“ Because your future alpha  said you believed me and the younger Beta said if it wasn’t for you asking them not to kill me. I would have been dead..... and then your eyes... they intrigued me. Although I’ve never seen a wolfs eyes that colour before, you seemed to look at me with kindness.”

‘Could we speak to the Alpha at silver lake?’
‘Yeah we could arrange that but my dad wont let him out of here. To roam not until we have finished investigating’
I Nodded.
“We will speak to the Alpha at Silver lake  and discuss with him. What is your bothers name?”
“Lucas Roland”
I Nod 
“You understand we cant let you out of here just yet?”
“I understand” he says looking down.
I walk out the room but before the guard locks the door.
“un-cuff  him and get him a pillow and a blanket and food. He wont try anything” i say
The guard looks from me to Xzavier.
“Do as she say’s, he is not a prisoner. He is only here as a precaution right now”
The guard nods. Uncuffs him and locks the door behind him
“Mia" i hear a couple of cells down.
“Not now Damon”
“Ok. Whenever your ready. I would just like to talk to you"
Xzavier growls.
I take a deep breath and exhale it and i walk down to where i see Damon’s hand holding the bars.
He reels back when i stand in front of him.
“what the – your eyes are really unnerving.”
“Get to the point Damon. I don’t have time for small talk”
“ok... i wanted to say i am truly sorry for what i did.  I’m not even going to try and excuse my behaviour.  I never should have... tried to force you. I lost control and i am sorry.”
I Studied him.
Then i nodded. He seemed remorseful.
“A part of me forgave you the day it happened Damon. It was that part of me that spoke up but you would have went further. You would have taken something from me. I yelled for you to stop and you ignored it.  I believe you are truly sorry Damon but you need to prove you won’t lose control that some other poor girl might not be so lucky next time you do.... get control and prove you can keep it. Maybe then you will get out of here.”
I turned and walked away.  I saw Adrian standing at his cell door he gave me a sad smile.
“I want to know how the women is doing, see if i can take her daughter to see her. Then we can talk about the rest.”
I Said to Xzavier as we wade our way back up the pack house.
The Beta had stayed to listen to Adrian. Then left.
“Ive linked my dad. He said the women is in stable condition but isnt awake yet. But we could still take her.  Just so she knows and can be a bit more comfortable.”
“ Dont you have Alpha stuff to do?”
He pulled me to a stop before we left through the front doors of the pack house.
“Yes but im not leaving you. We can do this then we can stick together for the Alpha stuff.  We can test if we can be apart later. Right now im not risking you being in pain.  It almost torn me apart seeing you like that.”
He pulls me in for a hug.
“I wasn’t going to tell you about us being mates i wanted you to feel it for your self. I didn’t want you to feel forced in to anything.”
“I do feel it, i feel a connection to you. You calm me down you have an affect on me and maybe its not as strong as your feeling it but i do feel it.”
“we should talk more about it later.” He said pulling away and taking my hand to pull me out the door.
