'Cooking with fire'
As Evie and (Y/n) walked into the kitchens Jay greeted them with a "finally. What took you guys so long?" He tired to grab onto (y/n) but her emotions were too overwhelming and she felt mad.
(y/n) rolled her eyes as she gave him the bird. "I literally just got back. Can't you be patient for once?" she snapped at the tan skinned villain. (y/n) was Irritated. Evies constant talking of Chad made her want to rip her ears off. How could (y/n) tell Evie that Chad had asked her out on a date and she told him no and he still continued to chase her? Easy... she wouldn't and she couldn't. She would wait until Evies fantasy played out and she lost interest. Yeah, (y/n) could wait.
"Ooh, lovers spat," Mal laughed as she flipped through her mothers spell book.
"I'm not in the mood." (y/n) said to the room as a warning. She gritted her teeth and held back from punching the metal table. She could feel the anger and frustration simmering in her body.
"Uh how about we just get started?" Carlos suggested, trying to defuse the tightening atmosphere.
"Right... Mal, what do we need?" Evie asked, ready to move on.
"A big bowl , a whisk, flour, sugar, two eggs, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla, milk, chocolate chips, and a tear of real sadness..." Mal responded, reading out the list of what was needed.
"I'll get the milk, eggs, and vanilla. Good luck getting me sad enough to cry," (y/n) lied. She knew it and so did Jay. She was pretty emotional especially when her mother was displeased with her. She put the ingredients from the fridge onto the counter. Mal got the bowl and whisk. Evie got the chocolate chips. And Carlos got the dry ingredients. Jay stood next to (y/n) trying to catch her eye to strike up a conversation with her. But (y/n) wouldn't even tilt her head to him , she kept her shoulders squared and her head straight, her (e/c) eyes narrowed and straight.
"(Y/n), hey..." Jay spoke.
"..." (y/n) didn't even acknowledge him. Just set her ingredients down and started to play with her (h/c) hair.
"Let's get started then, if we're going to spell him then it needs to be at least edible. Who can bake?" Mal spoke waiting for someone to raise their hand or something.
(y/n) waited for a minute till Mal got frustrated. "Mom taught me, I've got this. I need Carlos to set the oven up and Evie to sift the dry ingredients into this big bowl, I will do the wet ingredients and Mal you whisk the dry and wet together.
Everyone splits up and does as told, for once. Evie and (y/n) start to have a good time, they talk about their school work and boys while they talk- so do Carlos and Jay...
"Hey, (y/n). I saw you doing your thing with the cheerleaders, I think boy charming really likes you," Carlos laughed with Jay, (y/n) flushed an angry red.
"He did tell me you had a thing for him," Jay laughed knowing it wasn't true. (Y/n) was the type of person to show her emotions on her face and never did well at hiding them. Jay knew she was infatuated with himself but she wouldn't dare say it out loud and Jay never got the right moment to confess for the both of them.
"You're an ass. It's not like I did anything wrong." (y/n) huffed, getting more angry by the second. "And for your opinion it's none of your business what I do as long as we get the wand!" (y/n) snapped.
