I woke up amazed of how fine I was. No headache whatsoever. I took a glimpse on the pills that Greg bought and just smiled. He should know me well enough to not consider buying these. I mean, I never have headaches or nausea because of drinking. Nonetheless, this effort of Greg was well appreciated.

It’s just another normal day at school, at most. Aside from an unexpected hello's from the varsity players, my classmates keep on talking to me about last night. They were worse than every creepy-crawler I hate, crawling their way into my peaceful mind, pestering it. They keep bugging me about my scene with Kelly. Their whispers, or should I say soft talks, make me sick. I may be clear-headed already but I wish I still have the slightest of alcohol in my blood to affect me and make me answer them.

“Katie, have you answered problems three and eight?”

I’m like their mini Google. My work is theirs as well. Might as well just let me do every homework and photocopy it.

“Yes, and yes you can copy them Anne.”

Anne just grins in an evil way and grabs my bag to take out my notes.

“Your phone is flashing, I think someone’s calli---“

Before I can even land my hand on my bag, Anne already waves my phone and shouts

“Efrain Gonzalez Calling!!! Wait, what? Is this Eric? Katie?”

Anne must have noticed the same picture and the different name flashed under it.

“It’s a long, twisted story and please hand it over. I need to answer that.”

She makes the “Ayeeeeeeeeeh” sound then hands me my phone. God, her squeal cracks my eardrum! I don’t remember putting my phone in silent mode. Maybe I accidentally activated it while tapping it a while ago.

After giving me back my phone, she quickly turns to Jenna and Greg who were talking about a show I’m not aware of. I’m sure Anne told them about the call for the two looked straight to me. Jenna, making the same ayeeeeh sound and Greg looking confused.

“Hey”

“Hey, Kate. Busy?”

“Not really. Our professor’s not around so we have our free time. You?”

“It’s almost 2am here so…”

How come he’s still up?

“Okay? Sleep?”

“No”

“Why?”

“I won’t sleep until you tell me what happened. You said you’ll tell the story.”

Wait, what? Tell him what happened? I said I’ll tell? I don’t remember telling him anything not promising him anything.

“I did?”

“Too drunk, I see.”

“I’m not too drunk”

“Oh… defensive eh? You’re cuter now.”

My eyes widen as Greg, Anne, and Jenna’s eyes do the same. I must prepare my speech in front of these curiosity filled beings.

“Oh please Efrain, stop it. I will not spill anything out.”

“But you said you’ll tell me. I waited.”

He lets out a deep breath. Now I’m caught slightly guilty about this matter. Maybe I did tell him that I’ll let him know what happened but I’m just too intoxicated to remember.
