Mando's POV
I was walking through the streets of nevarro looking for the place the chit was leading me to. I was walking around and suddenly, I thought of my new slave. She is such a stubborn girl. How is it that she has survived this whole time with her being the way she is? I don't think she is a good match for me. I have no home. Not much for her to tend to. I wish that I could just send her away. I don't do well with travel "buddies". But.... This girl is very interesting. Even though she is a slave, she is her own person. You don't meet a lot of slaves like that. She is going to be a difficult one. I finally reach a alleyway where I find a door. I knock on it loudly to let my presence be known. Suddenly a droid eye pops out of the wall and I present my chit for it to read. The eye scans it then goes back into the wall. I stand there for a few seconds when the door finally opens. I hesitate when the I see the door open, contemplating whether I should go in or not.I finally walked in and heard the door close behind me. I was walking through a hallway with a box-like droid walking in front of me. Ugh. I hate droids. I then stopped in front of another door that opened when I stood in front of it. When it opened, the room revealed 4 Stormtroopers standing around a circular table with an older looking man. I walked in cautiously. They all looked at me with their weapons drawn, not knowing what to expect from me. "Greef Karga said you were coming." The man had said with certainty. I looked at the man for a few seconds then started to walk toward the table. The Stormtroopers then separated for me to come through. "What else did he say?" Still walking to the table. "He said you were the best in the parsec." the man said never looking away. The stormtroopers were looking at me with uncertainty. Then, I see a door open to my right and at the same time I pull my rifle and my blaster to point at the Stormtroopers as I think this is a trap while a man walks out of the door. I saw that he had a white tunic that looked imperial with glasses and a short beard. I hear a Stormtrooper say "Freeze!" While the man who had just came out the door yelled"No!" I hear another Trooper say "Drop your Weapons!" The man at the table just took in the scene as it was happening, not saying a word. The man with glasses started to stutter"No,No,No. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to alarm you." The man started to cower from my weapons but, I held them steady. "This is Dr. Pershing. Please excuse his lack of decorum." The old man has gotten up and explained to me who this stranger was. I looked around as if things went south, I would know what to do."His enthusiasm outweighs his discretion. Please, lower your blaster." The old man had finished saying. "Tell them to lower theirs first." I said not budging. "We have you four to one." One of the troopers said. I said confidently "I like those odds." We all looked amongst each other with a few glances. "He also said you were very expensive. Very expensive. Please sit down." The old man finished speaking then turned around to sit back down at the table. I looked around at the other Tropper and almost simultaneously, we all started to slowly drop our weapons. The man with gasses then walked toward the table. I set my rifle on the table and then proceeded to sit. The old man and I stared at each other for a few seconds, not breaking eye contact. He then reahes his hand to unwrap a piece of cloth that obtained a piece of beskar. I Looked at him and asked "Beskar?" He had a slight smile on his face. "Go ahead and touch it. It's real." he said while leaning back in his chair. The troopers watched carefully as I then went to pick up the beskar. While I was picking up the beskar I heard the old man say " This is only a down payment. I have a camtono of Beskar waiting for you upon delivery of the asset." "Alive." Dr. Pershing said quickly. "Yes. Alive." The old man said looking annoyed. "Although, I acknowledge that bounty hunting is a complicated profession. This being the case, proof of termination is also acceptable for a lower fee." Dr. Pershing looked confused as he said "That's not what we agreed on." I looked up at the doctor then back to the old man. "I'm simply being pragmatic." He said with a look annoyance toward the doctor. "Let's see the puck." I said expecting to be handed one. "I'm afraid discretion dictates a less traditional agreement. We can only offer you a tracking fob." The man said looking at me with uncertainty. Dr. Pershing hands me said fob and I look down annoyed. "What's the chain code?" I asked. "We can only give you the last four digits." I looked up in disbelief "Their age? That's all you can give me?" I asked starting to get frustrated. "Yes. They are 50 years old. We can also give you the last reported positional data. Between that and the fob, a man of your skill should make work of this." The old man said with a serious tone. I looked at the man then stood up from my seat and turned to walk out the door. As I was heading to the door the old man said " The beskar belongs back in the hands of a Mandalorian. It is good to restore the natural order of things after a period of disarray, don't you agree?" The man said as i turned back to look at him. The door then slid open and I looked ahead and walked out. I started to walk back to my ship when I was reminded of a certain someone who is on my ship. I began to sigh as I walked with purpose back to the shipping bay.
