The next day went as you would expect.... my sisters begged to go and I avoided everyone as I felt that I let my sisters down. Of course, my parents said no and later that evening they left to the festival. When they left I went up to my room and opened my window to get some fresh air but to also see the lights of the festival. My sister opened my door and said to me "Evy, we have a plan to get to the festival. We will sneak out of our house and go to the festival and avoid mom and dad. It's the perfect plan. Why aren't you saying anything?" Serita said excited then confused. "Because it's a bad plan. When everyone who comes across mom and dad sees that we aren't there, they're going to know that we couldn't come... so if we are there and someone sees us it'll get back to them and then we will be in even more trouble than before. And because I'm the older sister, I will not take you both." I said in a serious tone. "Fine! Then we'll go ourselves. And we'll show you that you should've come with us. Bye Evy!" She said angrily. My younger sister Corina followed after Serina to follow her in the half baked plan. I didn't bother to follow as when Serita has an idea, there is no stopping her. I looked out my window and began to sigh. The festival looked like so much fun... No! I won't think that way. I decided to head to bed early to shake away the sorrow of not being with my family.

.......................

I woke up a few hours later to find it pitch black. I walked out of my room and went downstairs but found my family nowhere to be found. I didn't think much of it as I thought they were still at the festival. I grabbed a glass of water and went back up to my room. I began reading a book about going on a far adventure with a grumpy man when they grow to fall in love. I wished that I would be swept away from this simple life. I want to see the universe and share those sights with someone special. I went back to my window and noticed that the festival was all lit up, but not by lights..... but fire! I ran as fast as I could to the festival to find my family and make sure they were safe. I found the entrance was ablaze in flames so I looked around to find another entrance and to my luck I found one. It felt as if I was looking for hours even though it was a couple of minutes. I roamed around and each second I grew mor and more weary. I thought to myself "Maybe they got out before the fire started. Maybe they are at home, Safe. Maybe they are wondering where I am. Maybe." I started getting worried as I didn't hear any voices. No one talking, Screaming or anything. No noise from any living thing. The only thing I heard was the sound of the fire and the items around melting from the hotness around. I heard a noise from a corner and thought "Finally! I found someone." To my shock I found dozens of charred up bodies piled on top of each other. I froze. I then started panicking trying to see if my family was in the pile. I looked for what felt like days. I finally looked and saw them lying together as if they were trying to protect one another. I fell to the floor and sobbed. I screamed until my throat was raw. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't think. Then I heard a group of footsteps. I saw these people dressed in white and black armor. I wondered if they were here to rescue me. "Who are you?" Asked one of the armed men. I told them my name and asked "Are you here to find who did this?" They looked at me for awhile and then one of them pulled out a pair of cuffs. My mind was going a thousand miles a minute. I did what I thought was best. I ran. I ran so fast I thought I was flying. But I didn't run fast enough because they caught me and put me in the cuffs. "Why are you doing this? Why attack our planet?" I asked in desperation. Suddenly a man dressed in black came from the crowd of the armored men. He looked frightening. "I did this because you all had a object that I wanted." Suddenly he pulled out a hilt that grew in to a saber. I had never seen anything like it before. "This is what I wanted and now that I have it, I will be unstoppable." I scrunched my brow in disbelief. "You killed a whole civilization because of a sword? How can you be so cruel? How can you kill without a second thought?" He chuckled in a low tone that sounded menacing. "Because that is what I do. It's what I will always do. Speaking of which....what to do with you? Perhaps I should kill you. But that would be too easy for you to reunite with your precious family. Maybe I'll torture you... just for the fun of it. Mmm..... I know just what to do with you." He said with a sadistic smile. I felt afraid for my life. "I will make you a slave. I will sell you to a life of servitude. That will be your life. What a wonderful life it will be." I felt my whole life shatter before my eyes. I always wanted to see the universe but now it's going to be viewed through different eyes. My heart broke. "You can't sell me. I have my papers." I said with confidence. He looked at me with satisfaction. "Well, it seems to me that I have your papers right here." I looked over and saw that he did in fact have them. I felt my heart beating so fast. Suddenly, he threw them into the fire. "Noooo!" I screamed. I couldn't believe that he just took my life and threw it away. "How could you?" I asked in a low tone with tears in my eyes. He smiled and said "Take her away!" I felt them start to drag me. I tried to get out of their grasp but to no avail. I gave up as I knew there was no escaping my newfound fate. I looked back to see my burnt family and all I could do was cry.
