The Trouble With Droids

We walked outside and I stood on the sidelines of the gate keeping the blurrgs in. I saw my master walking in and try to get on top of one...... But failed miserably. The second he mounted the blurrg, he was thrown off. I covered my mouth with my hand to keep myself from laughing. I don't know what has come over me. I never used to laugh at my old masters misfortune. I would have gotten severely punished for even cracking a smile. This man that is my new master is different than any master or even man I've met. He is a very mysterious person and I can't help but want to know more about him. I shouldn't be thinking this way. But I am. I'm pulled from my thoughts when the ugnaught said "Perhaps if you remove that helmet of yours." I wondered the same thing. Why doesn't he take off his helmet? What is he hiding under there? "Perhaps he remembers I tried to roast him." My master said with irritation. "This is a female. The males are eaten during mating." The ugnaught had said. My master then tried another attempt at mounting the blurrg. This time, he was successful only then the blurrg then started to try and fling him off. But my master held on tightly. But the he was thrown off once again. Then he started to walk over to us and said " I don't have time for this. Do you have a Landspeeder or Speeder bike I could use?" Then the ugnaught exclaimed quickly "You are a Mandalorian! Your ancestors rode the great Mythosaur. Surely you can ride this young foul." My master looked from him to the blurrg and then started to walk back over to try again.My master was saying words of reassurance to the creature. He then put his hand on the blurrg and calmed her down. I watched him as he mounted the blrrg yet again. My master was actually riding her. I couldn't help but feel excited for him. I let out a yell of encouragement and clapped my hands. Then, it was finally time to leave. I started walking towards them and when I got by one of the blurrgs, I started to lift myself onto her back when i felt two strong hand grab my wast and pull me down. I landed on the ground and turned to my master in surprise. "What are you doing?" He asked me curiously. "We are going to get the bounty, right?" I said in confusion. "Yes, We are but you're staying here. I looked at him with a scoff. I couldn't believe he wanted me to stay here. "I'm making sure you don't get hurt. You should be thanking me." He said in his robotic tone. I just looked at him in disappointment. The ugnaught then said "You can stay in my hut while we are gone." I just looked at both of them while they mounted their blurrgs and rode away.  A couple of minutes had passed and I was bored so I went outside the hut and started to sing.

Mando's POV

As we rode away, I couldn't help but think about the girl. She was so ready for adventure just for me to take it from her grasp. But I knew this was going to be dangerous and she doesn't seem to have any type of fighting skills. I just wanted her to be safe. I was shocked at how much I had seemed to care for this girl that I've only known for a short while..... What is happening to me? I shouldn't care what happens to her. She is only a slave after all. But she isn't at the same time. Soon we came to a stop. "That is where you will find your quarry." My new strange companion had said. I grabbed a little pouch full of credits and went to hand it to him. He began to shake his hand in denial of the little pouch. "Please. You deserve this." I said with generosity. "Since these ones arrived, this territory has been and endless stream of mercenaries seeking reward and bringing destruction." The companion explained. "Then why did you guide me here?" I aked curiously. "They don't belong here. We that live here want peace. But there will be no peace until they are all gone." I took a moment to try and understand. "Then why help?" I asked wanting to know the answer. " I've never met a Mandalorian. I have only read stories. If the stories are true, Then you will make quick work of it. Then there will be peace once again. I have spoken." He then turned around and began to ride away. I got off my blurrg and began to walk over to get a better view of what I was going to be dealing with. Ilayed on the ground and pulled out my scope to look at what I was dealing with. I'm glad I didn't bring the girl with me. This place was completely surrounded. I was working up a plan to get past these guy unnoticed but couldn't think of anything. Then I looked through my scope again and saw a droid. But not just any droid. "Oh no. A Bounty droid." I then heard the droid say " Subparagraph 16 of the Bondsman Guild protocol waiver compels you to immediately hand over said asset." The droid then stooped in it's place. Then one of the guardsman pulled out a gun located on his thigh. But before he had a chance to shoot, the droid got him first. Suddenly, THe droid started shooting people left and right. When I saw he finished shooting everyone, all the doors shut to keep him, and more importantly me, out. As I stood up from the ground, I muttered "Droids." I walked down to the building and the droid repeated what he said before. When he was done I said "IG Unit! Stand down." The droid then shot at my shoulder armor and I fell to the ground with a groan. I then shouted "I'm in the guild!" as I held up the tracking fob. The droid then asked "You are a guild member? I thought I was the only one on this assignment." I got up and started to walk to the IG unit. I walked over to a wall, leaned on it and said "That makes two of us. So much for the element of surprise." It looked at me and said "Sadly, I must ask for your fob. I've already issued the writ of seizure. The bounty is mine." I countered saying "Unless I'm mistaken, you are, as of yet, empty-handed." It then turned his head saying "This is true." I then came up with an idea. "I have a suggestion." He just looked at me to proceed. "We split the reward." I said hoping It would go along with it. "This is acceptable." It said. "Great. Now let's regroup, out of harm's way, and form a plan." The droid then said " I will need the reputation merits along with the mission." I really didn't like this droid. "Can we talk about this later?" I asked. There was a slight pause. Then the droid went on to say "I require a answer if I am to proceed...." Then on one of the roofs, some shot the droid in the back. It then said "Oh, no. Alert. Alert. Alert." I brought my blaster up for defense and shot the guard on the roof. The guard then fell to the ground. Then more gaurds started to come out and shoot at us. I hid behind the wall, trying to block the blaster fire. Then the droid began shooting at the others coming out and attacking us. I shot another guard and yelled "Let's go!" The IG unit kept me covered as we walked to the main entrance. I was shooting at people as we went along. Then a man pulled from behind and I turned around I hit him on the head with the handle of my blaster. We then went to look for cover as there was so much shooting go on towards us. I looked at my tracking fob and pointed it to the main door. "He's in there!" I shouted. "Affirmative." The droid said. The IG unit then stood up and started to fire at the guards. I got up after him and started to shoot as well. I then planted mysel behind one of the pillars by the main entrance. The IG unit was shooting, never missing a target. I then came from behind the pillar and shot someone to my right. I then told the droid "Up top." The droid then shot up into the air and another guard came tumbling down. I shot another guard that was on a roof. Then there was silence as the other guards that had not been shot were finding different positions. The IG unit then said "It seems that we are trapped. I will initiate self-destruct sequencing." I looked at him in surprise. "You're what?" I asked. "Manufacturers Protocol dictates I cannot be captured. I must self destruct.""Do not self destruct." I said hurridly. Finally he powered down the self-destruction. "Cover me." I said with force. Then we both began shooting at everyone we could see. I walked over to the door, trying to get it to open but to no avail. I then fell back behind a pillar and shouted "There's too many of them." They were all simultaneously shooting at us. We came out from the pillar and started shooting at whoever we could. "I am initiating self-destruct."The droid said in defeat. "Do not self destruct. We are going to shoot our way out of this." I said, feeling adrenaline shoot through me. We then walked out from behind the pillar and pointed our blasters when i saw a huge blaster gun. "Okay" I said unenthusiastically. We then hid back behind the pillar. I was trying to think of a way out of this as the situation just got ten times harder. "New plan!" I shouted. "Beginning new self-destruct countdown." I had had enough of the self-destruct. "No. Stop it. Draw their fire, I'll take it out." I said confidently. Then the IG unit walked out and the gunner then fired at him. I walked out and with my grappling hook i pulled the big blaster to me. I then hopped on to it and started shooting at everyone. Then when I had gotten everyone, I hopped off. "Well done. I will disengage self-destruct." I then walked over the the droid and helped it up while saying "You know, you're not so bad. For a droid." I then heard it say "Agreed." I noticed a bad blaster mark on his body and pointed it out to the droid. He had said that he will be alright. I then pointed out that we needed to get the door open. We then looked at the big gun and instantly knew how to get the door open. I then got on and shot at the door. I got off and stood in front of the door as it fell forward. We then walked inside to find our target. I looked around for a moment. I then saw a guard come from behind a corner but shot him before he had the chance to fire at me. "Anyone else?" I asked knowing there wasn't anyone else. " The tracking fob is still active. My sensors indicate that there is a life form present." I was pointing the fob back and forth as to find the asset. I pointed it to a corner where the beeping from the fob got faster. We then began to walk over to the corner to investigate. When we got over to the corner the beeping got faster and faster and I knew we had found the asset. I found an egg like crate that was covered by a wrap and took it off. I then pushed a button that revealed what was inside. "Wait. They said 50 years old." I asked confused. "Species age differently. Perhaps it could live many centuries." The IG unit said. I looked at the asset wondering what kind of species it could be. "Sadly, we'll never know." The IG unit then raised his blaster to the child when I stopped it. "No. We'll bring it in alive." I said wanting to keep my end if the deal. "The commission was quite specific. The asset was to be terminated." That's not what I had heard. The droid then pointed his blaster once again at the target. But I couldn't let it kill the asset. So I aimed my blaster at the droids head and fired. The IG unit fell to the ground. I put my blaster back in my pouch, and stared at this creature. I then reached out my hand with a pointed finger for it to grab.
