Evy's POV
I look at him in shock. My body is shaking. He's here. Alive and well. I look at him with wide eyes and tears start to form. "My ship has been stripped and destroyed. The jawas took my parts and tomorrow Quill and I will retrieve them and then we'll leave." He said with a matter-of-fact tone. All I could do was stare. I wanted to speak but nothing was coming out. I felt like I was dreaming. He tilts his head while looking at me, confused as to why I was looking at him the way I was and why I hadn't said anything yet. We stood there for a few moments before he said "What's wrong with you? You are acting like you've just seen a ghost." I feel as though I am. Quiil told me that he was dead. I must be losing my mind. He couldn't possibly be here, right? I need my head examined. I decide to walk towards him and rested my hand on his chest plate to see if he was real. Once I knew he was, I was filled with relief. I let out a trembling breath that I didn't know I was holding. I looked up to be just a couple inches from his covered face. My relief turned to anger. My face flushed with red and I hit him on his shoulder and asked "Where have you been? You were supposed to be back hours ago! Do you have any idea how worried I was?" I turned to face the wall because looking at him infuriated me. I shove my hands down to my side with a huff. I turned back to look at him when I see that he was right in front of me. He started to walk to me, as if he were staking his prey. I felt my back hit the wall when he said in a low voice "Don't talk to me like that. You are my slave and I am your master. If you want to continue to live, then I suggest you watch what you say." I looked at him with wide eyes and terror filled my body. None of my previous masters talked to me like this. They would always yell or hit. But it was never lie this. The way that he made everything his territory. How everyone else was in his way. It scared me but made me feel exhilarated at the same time. He stayed there for a moment keeping me trapped between him and the wall. He finally gave some distance between him and I. He repeated what he said before "My ship has been stripped by jawas. Tomorrow we'll get them back. Then we will leave. Do you understand?" I looked at him for a split second when he repeated "Do.You.Understand?" I nodded my head showing compliance to what he asked of me. "Good. Now come on. We have to travel tonight to catch up with those thieving jawas. Get some food ad supplies. It's going to be long. Make sure you gather whatever is yours. Don't want to leave it behind. " With that he walked out of the hut and into the dark night. I slid down the wall and closed my eyes. He may be scary but what he just said means he cares. I start to smile a bit before hearing a little coo. I snapped my eyes open and look around the room. I see a little green child staring at me with big, hopeful eyes. He is tilting his head while looking at me. I start to stand up and walk over to him. "Who are you little guy? Where did you come from?" I crouch down to the ground and hold out my hands to pick him up. I lift him into my arms and wonder if Quiil knows who and what this creature is. But as soon as I make the decision to go and ask him, my master comes back in. He looks at me and snatches the child from my grasp. "Do not touch him. He is the bounty. If you lose him or he gets hurt in any way, I'm holding you responsible for getting my bounty." I looked at him in confusion. "He's the bounty? What harm could this child do?" He looked at the child and then to me. "Did you not just hear me? Do not ask questions or go near him. Nod if you understand. You're good at that." I scrunched my brow in anger. That's all I'm good for? Smiling and nodding? No. I'm much more than that. "Yes. I understand completely." He stared at me for a moment before turning away and walking out. "Let's go." He said to me and I followed. Outside, Quill had made a Bluurg pulled wagon for us to travel. He looked at me and sighed. This wasn't going to be easy by any means. From what I've heard of Jawas, they are cunning little thieves. We have to be smart about this. They will do anything they can to keep "their" parts. I looked at Mando as he got into the wagon and sat down. He sat and looked around then slowly turned his head to me. "Are you coming?" He asked in a annoyed tone. I pondered on whether or not I should go. This could be dangerous. I've never done anything like this before. Well, before I met him. He has turned my life upside down. And I don' know if that's a good or bad thing. I can tell he was about to say something when I stopped him. "I'm coming." I said in a low tone. I made my way to the wagon. I petted the Blurrg and it groaned. I giggled so slightly that you had to be right next to me to hear it. I walked into the wagon and took a seat. I wiped my dress as I sat down to get any imperfections out. I looked up to see Mando looking at me and I suddenly found myself feeling self-conscious. I don't know why he makes me feel this way. He's been short with me the whole time I've known him. I look down and focus on a little flower design on my dress. But I still feel his eyes on me. Suddenly, I feel the cart move forward as we begin to go. I look back at the hut and sigh. I hope this goes well.
