The ground was warm and soft, I snuggled into it more, willing myself to go back to sleep. It was the tightening of the arms around me that made my eyes crack open. I laid in Marcus' embrace his nose on my head and me buried face first into his chest. This was divine, I could stay here and not ever want to leave.
"Good morning"
He rumbled causing my body to shiver in excitement. I had to clench my legs at the warmth growing between them and when I did he growled low.
"I can smell you Beloved, you are making this very hard for me."
As he spoke he shifted his hips showing me just how hard I made it for him. I gasp at the size and then blush furiously as he laughs.
"Stop it"
I slap his chest and he actually flinched causing me to grimace and kiss the spot where I hit him. As my lips made contact he growled low and instead of removing my lips I felt my canines elongate and nipped him. The next thing happened so fast I'm not exactly sure what happened. I went from snuggling side by side with him to my hands pinned above my head and him above me. He had my legs apart and was rubbing his erection against me making me moan from the friction. His head he had cradled in the crook of my neck breathing on me, and every time his lips touched me my body shivered and a moan escaped me.
"What are you doing to me woman."
He leaned up and looked at me, his lust filled eyes matching my lust filled eyes. I wanted nothing more than to kiss him and at that moment Caden and Alaina woke up. Both of their eyes wide as they looked at us but neither Marcus or I broke eye contact.
"To be continued."
He said nipping my neck and making my body spasm in ecstasy. He smirked and got up, holding out his hand for me. I gave him a pissy look and if looks could kill, well he wouldn't be smiling. Alaina and I fixed a quick breakfast while the guys put away what we used for the night. After we ate and finished packing I went over to the fire. It was out but still smoldering and it was as if I heard a voice whisper
"Put it all out, please don't let us burn."
I turned to look at the forest trees, all of which seemed to shy away from the fire. We had already packed everything so I figured I'd use a witch spell. I racked my brain and finally decided to experiment. I held my hand above the embers and as my palm got sweaty I called out to the water. I asked it to rain just here, just to quench the fire and I watched in amazement as tiny droplets fell from my hand. I could feel the others surround me but my eyes were glued to what was happening. Within a few moments it was as if my palm was a tiny rain cloud that needed to release. The hiss of the water hitting the embers and the steam rising just made the moment much more amazing. About 5 minutes later the rain shower slowed to an end and all of the embers were out. As I stood I heard the whispers saying "thank you", to which I replied "you're welcome."
It caused Caden and Marcus to stare at me with raised eyebrows but Alaina just smiled and embraced me.
"It's been so long since the dryads spoke to anyone. Oh Lydia, I'm so happy right now."
Her smile was contagious and after a few moments of hugs and happy little yelps we were back on the road.
Marcus and I walked and sparred a little while Caden and Alaina caught up on each other's lives.
"Wanna run? I smell water and if it's a small pool we can bathe in I'd be happy."
Marcus smiled and winked and then was gone, I called him a cheater and then ran after him Caden and Alainas laughter followed after us. We ran for about an hour when we came across a beautifully amazing sight. There was a bathing pool but at one end was a small waterfall. The tinkling was musical and I swear I could feel the water call to me. I looked at Marcus and smiled then immediately started stripping. He stood there a moment taking me in and when I looked back his eyes met mine. My body thrummed with the look in his eyes and then he started to strip as well. I'm not sure how long I stood there looking at the god like creature in front of me but it was long enough for him to slowly walk up to me and take my chin in his fingers tilting my head up to look into his eyes.
"Like what you see?"
There is a smirk pulling at the corner of his mouth as I nod yes, his smirk widens as he picks me up, my legs wrapping around his waist.
"Let's bathe shall we."
Hands around his neck, legs around his waist, his left arm underneath my buttocks and right arm around my waist he walks us towards the water. He doesn't test it and as he walks in his eyes go wide and he clenches his teeth.
"Fuck, cold"
I can't help but laugh at his face, that is until the water touches my ass and I jump up only to have him laugh and pull me down and closer to him.
"Oh wooow it really is cold."
He swum us out into the water and we stayed together for a few moments. His legs kicking us afloat and our eyes examining each others faces.
"Why am I drawn to you Marcus? Even before we met it felt as though my feet brought me to you even in my dreams. "
A soft smile spread along his face
"I'm not sure why but I'm glad you did. The night you walked the moon beams and fell asleep with me was the first night in a very very long time that I slept. No nightmares, no regrets dancing in my head. Just peace."
Now it was my turn to smile.
"Are you two fucking are can we join you to bathe?"
Marcus groaned as Caden shouted to us and Alaina slapped his arm
"Caden, seriously? Well can we join in bathing or do you two need a moment."
Marcus growled low and responded
"We need more than a few moments , but yes the two of you can join."
"How's the water?"
Caden asked and Marcus chuckled a wicked chuckle and said
"It's wonderful, jump in."
Caden smiled, undressed quickly and then dove in only to come up sputtering
"You son of a whore it's freezing."
Marcus and I laughed as Alaina laid out the cleaning materials and chuckled herself.
"Maybe next time oh mate of mine you won't be so rude."
Once all four of us were in we swam around letting our bodies adjust to the temperature and finally cleaned ourselves. I was dunking my head under water to wash the soap out when I saw a face staring back at me. I screamed, inhaled water, and resurfaced sputtering. Quickly Marcus was there followed by Caden and Alaina.
"What happened?"
Marcus took a guard stance and looked around trying to find the reason for my scream. It was Alaina tapping his and Caden's shoulder staring over mine that caught my attention.
"Water slyph."
She whispered
I turned to come face to face with myself but made of water. The features continuously morphed as the water slyph swirled the water to replicate me.
"Welcome Beloved, we have waited many a years for you. It's is a great joy to know you are finally here. "
I smiled at the slyph as it's watery voice rang through my head along with the beating of my heart.
" Forgive me for startling you, it's been decades since a human visited me. Please enjoy my home, I will leave you to do what you were doing. Be sure to look for all of us, only will we be visible to you, unless we choose to be. There are others that are awaiting you. Fare the well Beloved"
And just as smoothly as it came it was gone. I turned to see three shocked faces that I could only smile at.
"I can't wait to hear this one."
Caden chuckled.
