My eyes went from face to face and waited for any of them to have a response.
"We have seen you speak to the dryads and now a water slyph, if we go by the elementals that leaves the fire sprites and the air nymphs. I think our journey to the villages was the best decision. These creatures will not come to populated areas."

"So what is going through that mind of your Alaina? I may not know you as well as Caden but I can see the mischievous look."

"So do we continue or go looking for these others?"
Caden asked his glance going between me and Alaina.
"We continue on to the villages. I would happily meet others but I feel this need to find more priestesses. Are we close to a village? The pull is slightly stronger."
Caden nodded and took out his map, Marcus leaned over to see and then spoke
"We should reach the next village tomorrow afternoon, IF we set out early. We can deal with trail rations for breakfast."
We all nodded agreement and settled down for the evening. We all decided to eat and go to sleep a little early since we would be getting up. Before we cooked dinner Alaina and I decided to wash clothes and set them to dry while the sun was still out, the guys decided their clothing needed a wash as well. Marcus and Caden took out their weapons and begun the task of cleaning, sharpening, and maintenance. They finished as we finished dinner , we ate as the sun started to lower and the moon was peeking over the mountains in the distance. Caden and Alaina lay close together and I smiled at seeing her happy, I laid down next to the fire and felt Marcus lay down close behind me. I rolled from my right side to my left and looked up to see him staring at me. His smile mimicked mine.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to sleep close to you, it could get cold and I actually sleep when you're near me."
