It's been two days since I arrived here in L.A. My friends should've been here if it weren't for Trey who's still waiting for his mom to come back from her business trip. We actually planned to all go come here at the same time but I insisted on going first to arrange the place where we'll stay.

Coming here is like hitting two birds with a stone. I came here for vacation. And also to arrange my papers for my Master's Degree which I will take in UC-Berkeley.

Today's a little special. Well, kinda, since it's my interview at the university. I cant wear my usual black skinny jeans and boots so I wore a cream dress that hangs just above my knee and matched it with a black pumps to look more formal. I don't wear this kind of clothes usually, it's not my type at all. I only have a few of this for times like this. I also put a little mascara and lipstick to put color in my face. I look pale, actually. I just let my hair fall loosely to finish the look.

My phone rang just when I'm about to head out of the door. It's Danny. My very best friend.

"Rinaaaa!", he shouted as soon as I answered the phone.

"Ouch.", I said.

He laughed, "Sorry, sorry. I'm just happy I'm finally talking to you. You never called!"

"I'm sorry, okay? I'm just busy. You know, papers. Master's. Berkeley."

"Oh, poor you.", he sound sympathetic but I know he's just teasing me.

"Oh, poor me.", I mimicked his tone and giggled. "So, tell me. When are you guys coming? I'm starting to feel lonely.", I pouted.

"We'll be there in a short time, don't worry.", he reassured me. "But you should really blame Trey for holding us for too long. He can't go without her mom's pacifier."

I heard laughter in the background.

"Fuck you, Danny.", I heard Trey's voice. They all must be together.

"Don't be so mean to Trey, Danny.", I scold him.

"Okay, okay.", he laughed.

"Okay, I have to go. It's my interview. Wish me luck."

"Good luck, Linden!", I heard them all shout.

I'm really happy that Danny called and the guys wished me luck. I couldn't sleep last night thinking about my interview today. Well, Dad assured me everything will be fine. But I can't still be fine. I will just be fine after this interview.

I drove to university before I change my mind. Holding onto something I really want.

I walked into a little diner to have lunch. I chose the table beside the glass wall which has the best view of the shore. I put my face on my palm as soon as I sat down. The interview went well but I still don't know if I passed. God. This is killing me.

Stop worrying, Irina Linden. Everything's fine.

I don't know if I looked down for too long but when I looked up, the little diner is already crowded. Wow. This diner must be famous.

"What?! It's already crowded. There are no more chairs available.", I heard a familiar voice from outside the diner.

I turned to look to where that familiar voice is coming and wished I didn't turn my head. It's that Bandana boy and his friends.

Just as I'm about to look away, our eyes met. He smirked and walked my way with his friends. I pretended not to notice him even if he's standing at my back.

"Look who's here.", he said.

I rolled my eyes and turned to look at him, acting shocked.

"Oh. What a coincidence.", I faked.
