Coffee and Kisses

Chapter 3

Xiao spent an hour or so searching for Venti. His heart hurt not being able to find him. Where the hell was Venti? And why did it hurt him so much to not find him?

Xiao took a break, snuggling with Dvalin. "This is my fault," He sighed "If I would've given him more attention he wouldn't be missing and I could tell him to give me more of those kiss things, or when he was resting on my chest...that was nice....having him with me felt like it was meant to be...maybe we are soulmates...and I messed it up because I'm bad at social cues and feelings," He sighed, stroking Dvalin.

The cat mewed, getting out of Xiao's lap and pawing him to follow. The cat showed him where Venti was, he had fallen asleep crying, at least that's what it looked like. Xiao's heart swelled, he kissed Dvalin's head in thanks and got into bed with him. Xiao wrapped his arms around Venti  snuggling into him.

"I apologize for my behavior, I am still new to love...but I can definitely say I've fallen for you...I already know this is going to be a wild ride. But I look forward to it, you move me Venti...and no one has ever done that before...I think your hypothesis was correct...I think we're soulmates," He nuzzled into him.

Venti smiled, "you don't know how incredible it feels to hear that" He turned to face Xiao.

"Oh, you're awake" Xiao looked down at Venti who was shoving his face in his chest.

"Yeah, and hearing everything you said just...make me incredibly happy," He leaned up and kissed Xiao deeply.

Xiao tried his best to reciprocate this, trying to put his tongue in Venti's mouth because he heard that romantic partners did that. Venti pulled away and Xiao looked down "I apologize, I'm not good at kissing yet"

"I think you're incredible, don't worry," Venti snuggled into him. "But you also need to stop showing more affection to my cat than to me...I'm a jealous person you know!"

"I will try, but Dvalin is quite adorable and easy to love- Venti what's that look for? Did I say something wrong again? Please don't run away, stay on my chest please," Xiao clung to him like Venti was a balloon that would fly away.

"Are you saying that I'm not easy to love?," He huffed.

Xiao thought for a second, "You are not easy to love, I don't believe anyone is, but it's the time and effort you're willing to put in to make a love easier that matters. That's not to say you're hard to fall in love with, because that's fairly easy...but to maintain a relationship will take a lot...and I'm willing to do anything like that if I get to keep this pounding in my chest and how happy I get around you"

"How do you know just what to say, and yet still be so stupid when it comes to love," Venti chuckled.

"I don't know...it's never been easy but with you it is...I'm very confused by it as well. I thought it was normal to feel like this. Everything is easier with you," Xiao thought aloud.

"This is why you should've given me a chance sooner!," He huffed.

"I didn't realize how much I enjoyed your flirting and attention until you stopped. Then I realized I wanted all of it...when you stopped I was scared that you were going to give your attention to someone else...and was, jealous," Xiao explained slowly.

"Ooo~? You were jealous at the thought of me giving someone else attention. How adorable, gahhhh I love you Xiao," Venti nuzzled Xiao's chest "what are we?," He looked up at him.

"Boyfriends? Is that the term? I think so...but romantic male partners," He nodded, proud of himself.

"Incredible! Yesyesyes!!!," Venti giggled.

"Why are you so happy?," Xiao was rather confused by Venti's reaction.

"Well, I've just wanted this for a while...and now you're my boyfriend, and I'm the luckiest guy in the whole world, take that Xiao Fanclub!," He huffed.

"Xiao fanclub? What is that?," Xiao looked at Venti in even more confusion.

"A-ah well you see. There's a group of girls and boys who all have a crush on you...I'm sorta their leader," Venti rubbed the back of his neck.

"I do not understand...you're the famous one, wouldn't you have a fanclub? Should I be the leader of it? No..I don't want anyone else to want you...they can all perish," Xiao grumbled.

"I really shouldn't be turned on by that," Venti blushed, looking away.

"Turned? On?," Xiao tilted his head.

"No-nothing! Don't worry about it! Anyway, I'm exhausted...so uhm let's sleeeep," Venti got out of bed, Xiao pouting.

Xiao begrudgingly sat up and began to take off his shirt and pants, leaving on his boxers. Venti blushed, trying not to stare at Xiao. He slipped off his own shirt and pants, pulling an over sized shirt on, turning off the lights and getting into bed with Xiao.

Xiao wrapped his arms around Venti, as the other male snuggled into his chest with a smile. "Gnight Xiao"

"Good night, Venti, sleep well," He hummed before falling asleep, Xiao following.
