Venti had a long day in front of him. Today he was overbooked and just knew it was going to be another late day. He sighed, thankful that he got his day with Xiao yesterday.

He walked through the large double doors are his record company, he was set to record early this morning, which would take him to lunch. After that he'd get his coffee, try and talk to Xiao as long as possible before heading off to sign some offer contracts.

Xiao's day would go as normal, but he was rather sad that he couldn't stay with Venti and Dvalin longer. He really enjoyed himself, and felt safe. Maybe it was Venti's embrace? Maybe it was the way he was so quick to help calm him down when he woke up from his nightmare and didn't get mad at him like the others. Venti was unique out of the people he had been with before. Venti actually cared. He could see that now. He smiled to himself at the though, scaring his co-worker who'd never seen Xiao smile before.

"I was not smiling," He retorted, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes.

"Uh-huh...it has to do with that braided boy that comes in everyday for you, isn't it"

Xiao's eyes widened in shock as a blush spread across his cheeks. "You're wrong. Now excuse me, I have work to do"

His co-worker just chuckled, walking away to work the window register.

Venti came in, same time as usual, but he was noticeably tireder than usual. This kind of concerned Xiao but he thought nothing of it. He made his boyfriend's coffee and waited for him to get to the front of the line.

Venti got up there, paying and Xiao looked at him funny.

"What's wrong Xiao?"

"You look tired...when do you need to be back at work?," He asked.

"Uhm in like an hour," Venti said in a questioning tone.

Xiao nodded and looked back at his manager and said he'd be back in an hour. This came as a shock to the manager because Xiao had never taken a break from working before, but he welcomed it.

Xiao grabbed Venti's iced coffee and brought him into the back room.

"What's wrong?," He followed Xiao's lead.

"We're going to take a nap," He stated softly, setting an alarm.

"Wh-what no Xiao you don't-"

"Shh, nap time," He laid down with Venti, holding him close and closing his eyes.

Venti blushed, giving into the embrace and swiftly falling asleep. Xiao would be lying if he said he didn't feel as though he was the reason behind Venti's tiredness. Soon, he too fell asleep.

About an hour passed when Xiao's alarm went off, waking them both up. Venti yawned, clinging to Xiao, not wanting to be awake. Xiao blushed and kissed his forehead. "Here, it's time to wake up"

Venti huffed, getting up and unbraiding his hair to rebraid it. Xiao took over, giving Venti his coffee to wake up.

"You're the best," He snuggled into his boyfriend.

Xiao smiled, kissing him "you are too. Now I suppose you have to go to work, I do have a question though"

"Hmm? What's up"

"Can I stay over again? My apartment is rather small, and I enjoyed Your and Dvalin's company last night"

"Of course babe, maybe if you get lucky I'll give you a key and you can move in," He winked.

Xiao looked at him uninterested. To which Venti chuckled and stood up. "Alright, I have to get going, text me when you need me. Or if you get bored," He waved, walking out.

Xiao stayed there for a bit, his hand over his heart as it felt it pounding. He loved waking up with Venti in his arms, it made him feel a peace he never knew before. Maybe this was it, maybe this was the one that his fathers always spoke about.

When he was young Xiao would always ask his dads what they felt when they fell in love. Zhongli would always pick him up and put him in between both of them; and they'd explain everything they felt with one another. Xiao always longed to be like that with someone, even after everything he had been through. And being with Venti was like everything his fathers had explained and more.

Their touches made his heart flutter, all of Venti's cute little habits, his barely visible freckles, the way that only the end of his braids were dyed, and so much more. He fell in love with his smile.

And it'd be an understatement to say that Venti didn't feel the same. He sat in his car, head on the steering wheel taking deep breaths. There was something so special about being around him. He loved the way he felt when Xiao held him.

When he had first met Xiao he just knew there was something special, and there was nothing he could do to stop himself from falling. Day after day he would call Aether and go on and on about everything he felt, everyday for 2 years. You could tell how happy they both were when Xiao finally said yes. Venti wouldn't shut up about how excited he was.

Love was something odd to Venti, he didn't really grow up in a loving household. His parents were forced into marriage and always fought, they hated each other. They showered Venti in money and gifts as a show of "love". He only really discovered what it was when his maid would read him fairy tails about the princess and prince falling in love.

Those stories made him long for something like that, he loved the idea of soulmates and everything that had to do with love. His parents always looked at him like he was crazy whenever he said "I love you". Those three words weren't spoken by anyone except Venti.

So when he got old enough he moved away in a hunt to find love. He became a popstar on total accident by singing at an open mic night. He was overjoyed to have all of his fans love, and thought he had finally found what he was looking for.

Until that one day where he decided to try out the cafe that had been recommended to him by one of his agents. He walked in and saw him. And it hit him like a bus, he was it. He was his soulmate.

So he came in everyday and learned Xiao's schedule, he did everything he could to see Xiao, to no avail for so very long. Until that faithful day.

Nothing could have prepared them for this love but they both welcomed it with open arms, it was their destiny.
