Days had passed and Venti and Xiao just grew closer. Venti hated to admit it but he had really fallen for that tsundere. He just wanted to do everything with him that a couple did.

It didn't take long for Xiao to move in with Venti, especially considering how much the other male calmed his intense nightmares. It felt as though Venti was the answer to his prayers. He usually hated physical contact, but with Venti he wanted more and more.

This was a new experience for both of them, but they were open to try everything to make it work smoothly. Yeah, they got into fights, but it made them stronger. Sometimes Venti got flustered with Xiao's lack of how to do just about everything when it came to love, but he understood and worked through it.

They were willing to try, and that's what made their relationship work. They loved each other and continued to love each other, even though the bad. They wanted to be better for each other. Not only that but their relationship was built on trust, and they trusted each other fully.

Xiao got home from work, closing the front door with a yawn as Dvalin came to greet him. Xiao smiled at the sight of Venti's cat, picking him up and kissing his little face. Dvalin regularly greeted Xiao since he moved in, it made him feel special; and he knew that Dvalin was ecstatic to have an owner home, seeing that Venti was home late a lot.

So he snuggled up on the couch, cat in lap, turning on the TV. He laid back, running his fingers through the kitty's fur. Eventually he fell asleep, waking only when he felt a text from Venti.

Twink with Braids™ ❤
Hey babe, I'm going to be home a bit late, i can either pick up dinner or you can make something for yourself and I'll eat later. Love you~

Xiao frowned at the message, sometimes he hated Venti's job. He hated how it took Venti away from him. But he understood it wasn't his fault, that Venti would rather be home right now. It didn't make it any better though. He wanted Venti to walk through those doors and come cuddle into him and Dvalin.

He blushed at the thought before realizing something. He really never had those love-y thoughts until him and Venti began dating. He realized how much he loved Venti's affection and mindless kisses. That's why he loved when Venti flirted with him in the beginning. Just the thought made his heart flutter. Venti made him a different person.

He didn't know love, he really didn't, nor did he understand it. He never thought he would understand it, but here he was, very much in love. Xiao knew that he loved Venti more than anything else; more than anyone else. He wanted to be everything Venti wanted and deserved, and more. Xiao was the best for him, and he knew it, he just hoped Venti knew it too.

With a sigh he managed to type back.

Emo Boyfriend

It's okay, pick up dinner, I'm not eating without you.

Venti was done with work. He was done being here. He wanted to be at home with his incredible lover. But here he was, going from meeting room to meeting room to talk about new songs. And from each meeting room it was people arguing for him. He barely got a say anymore. It made him seriously question why he even came into the music industry.

It was a pain working from the absolute bottom. Getting constantly turned down by agents. He was going to give up, he really was. Until he finally got scouted.

Of course it didn't start out perfectly, but everyday it got easier and easier for him to do what he needed to do. But, now it felt like all of his efforts were for nothing. The only thing bringing him joy was his boyfriend and cat.

After lots of board meetings, he realized that he that he wasn't going to make it home in time for dinner. So he texted Xiao with a frown before getting into yet another meeting.

Some time passed before Venti felt his home vibrate. Seeing as he was being ignored anyway, he looked at the message, something about Xiao's message made him feel good. It made him happy. He really wished to be home and in his arms.

Venti loved his and Xiao's domestic moments. He just loved being with Xiao as a whole, and hated being away from him. But soon he'd be able to come home to his boyfriend and kitty.

Time seemed to move at a snails pace, but the moment that Venti got released was pure bliss. As soon as he got in his car he called Xiao. It was nice hearing his voice after so long.

"Hey babe," Venti said, his voice matching his ecstatic expression.

"Hey," Xiao chuckled softly at how adorable he found Venti.

"Should I just pick up sushi and boba from our regular place?," He asked, pulling out of the parking lot.

"Yeah...i heard they have mint jelly, would you mind getting some?," Xiao asked softly.

"Ohhh!! Yes! I've been wanting to try it too, yeah, I will, okay, I'll see you soon," Venti smiled.

"Yeah, see you," He hummed, hanging up.

Venti got home with food in hand, setting it down and immediately running and kissing his boyfriend passionately. However it took Xiao by surprise so he was somewhat awkwardly kissing him back.

Venti pulled away with a soft laugh as his apology, whereas Xiao just rolled his eyes, happy to have Venti home.

They had both been missing one another, and it was pretty obvious. They were just happy to see each other again.

Their schedules were weird, so they didn't get to see one another often, even though Venti always made sure to get his coffee every morning. Xiao found this habit cute, considering he could make it at home for him literally any time, but he went in just to see him.

Everything was perfect for the love birds, and their love story was just that. It didn't start from a whole lot but it blossomed into so much more in a relatively quick time span.

Venti and Xiao went on to get married in the years that followed, considering they were basically married already. Their marriage was simple, but sweet, and none of them would've asked for anything more.

In the end, Xiao was sure that they were soulmates. Even on their death bed they knew they were destined to one another. They just prayed in the next life that they would find each other sooner.

They died, not in vain, but in love and side by side. It's how they planned they would die, together. And despite all of the challenges they faced, they were happy and even more in love than ever.

A/N: And that's that. I don't really know why I ended it like this, but it felt right. It was rather abrupt and I apologize. But this was never meant to be a very long story. Not only that, but I needed to make room for the new story that'll be presented to all of you very soon. Thank you for enjoying this work, and please check out some of my other ones!
