Y/N's P.O.V
I took a steady breath.
"Okay," I said, grabbing the marker. "This is gonna sound insane, so just... stay with me."
Egon rolled a whiteboard closer without a word.
Of course he had one ready.
I sketched out the diagram I'd drawn earlier, adding the five pedestals as I spoke.
"So—apparently—I'm a direct descendant of Hekate," I said. "Greek goddess of magic. There's... some kind of group—cult, maybe—that follows her. Practices magic. That's what I saw."
I circled one of the pedestals.
"They were chanting in ancient Greek. I understood it this time. Mind. Body. Heart. Spirit. Vision."
I tapped the one I'd circled.
"I got Spirit."
Winston leaned forward slightly. "And that means...?"
I exhaled.
"I can communicate with the dead," I said. "Ghosts, otherworldly beings... things like that. And apparently I can draw energy from them. Or from people."
That part still felt weird to say out loud.
They absorbed that quietly.
"I don't know what the others do yet," I added. "But I'm guessing I'll find out whether I want to or not."
"Yeah," Peter muttered. "That's usually how this goes."
I pointed back to the board.
"They also said something else. About the guy in my dreams."
That got Egon's full attention.
"He can't reach that place," I continued. "Wherever I was—it's protected. Sacred. So they know about him. And they're keeping him out."
"That's good," Ray said quickly.
"That's temporary," Egon corrected.
Silence.
I dropped the marker into the tray.
"Yeah," I said quietly. "That's what I was thinking too."
"Well," Ray said after a moment, clapping his hands lightly together like he was trying to inject optimism into the room, "we should monitor you. Keep you here where we can keep an eye on things."
"I agree," Egon said. "If your abilities escalate unpredictably, we need to be prepared."
"Translation," Peter added, "you're grounded."
I gave him a look.
"Great."
"So what," Peter continued, leaning back, "we're taking shifts watching her sleep now?"
Ray shrugged. "Wouldn't be a bad idea."
Winston shook his head, already knowing where this was going.
"Alright," he said. "Who's first?"
Everyone looked at Peter.
Immediately.
"Mother—" he cut himself off, exhaling sharply. "Fantastic. Love that for me."
I snorted a quiet laugh.
"Okay," I said, shifting gears before the mood could spiral. "Important question."
They all looked at me.
