Y/N's P.O.V

It was silent. No one was speaking. I was unsure if he was waiting for either I or Peter to greet him, or were we waiting for him to say anything? I looked around to take in our environment. It appeared to be a somewhat lit area. From what I could tell, the walls were made of stones. Like in an old fashioned castle, or an underground of some sort. The light sources were torches that were hanging on the walls. I could see a few different tunnels that led to god knows where.

Before I could say anything, I felt myself getting pulled down one of the tunnels. I looked and saw Peter was pulling me along. This man was running and in the time I've gotten to know him; he didn't say a sarcastic greeting or snide comment. He just started running. I almost couldn't keep up with him.

"Do you know where we're going? Or any clue what's even in this direction?" I asked him.

"Nope, just getting us away from whatever that was." He responded. I pushed myself to keep pace with him. Eventually, we got to another big room. I was starting to think that we were in a labyrinth of some kind. Peter grabbed one of the torches off the wall and now I officially felt like we were in some kind of adventure movie. We looked around and just found more tunnels.

"Well, where to now genius?" I asked. He looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. I just gave a facepalm and sighed. We looked around a little bit more. We saw stairs in one of the tunnels. Peter pointed them out.

"Hey, let's try these." He said. We approached them. "Looks like they go up." He said. I shook my head and we began to ascend the stairs. We were walking up them for what felt like an eternity but it probably was like, five minutes. Still, too long. We reached the top and found what seemed to be a boiler room  or an underground water reserve. We walked around and found some writing written on the wall.

New York City Utility

Ah, it's a utility tunnel. Interesting. We looked around for a bit. It was silent before Peter spoke, more with a tone of questioning in his voice.

"A utility tunnel, wonder why? It's so wet." He spoke. I had to think about it and I couldn't fully understand it either. I was about to respond when we heard a loud banging sound that seemed to be coming from the stairwell. It appeared to be getting closer. We gave each other a look and I finally spoke.

"I think we should leave now." I said. He nodded his head and shined the torch around till we saw a door that had an exit sign. We quickly made our way through it and were met with awkwardness as we entered a not so busy subway station. Peter threw the torch back through the door and we walked to the passenger information board.

"How far did we go!?" Peter exclaimed rather quietly, guessing to not draw attention to us. I didn't really recognize it as I was used to traveling above ground and by car. I never rode the trains. "Well, we're gonna have to wait for the next one. We'll be on it for a little bit" He said.

"How far are we? I asked. He sighed and rubbed his face with his hand in annoyance.

"On the other side of New York. Taking a cab would probably cost us too much." He spoked. I nodded. We walked over to a bench and waited. Why was Milo hiding in a utility tunnel in New York? My chest started hurting, I grabbed it and leaned forward. Peter grabbed me before I had the chance to fall off the bench. He leaned me to the side and just sat there.

"These things couldn't come at a more convent time?" He asked. I scoffed. It was about five minutes before the pain had subsided. I cried a little from the pain but it soon passed. I managed to sit back up and act like nothing had happened. However, I could feel this strong energy radiating from the utility tunnel. Before either of us could say anything the lights of the station flickered and we heard the banging coming from the utility tunnels. We both stood up and were prepared to make another run for it.

Before we could do anything, the lights went out. Completely. We saw the faint lights of a train coming and before we knew it, it speeds right by us, not even stopping. We were left once again in the dark. I grabbed onto Peter's arm. We waited for the lights to turn back on, but it felt like we'd be waiting for forever. We heard the eerie sounds of the electricity humming from the lights over head but they weren't on. Finally, there was a few lights that had came on, giving us a limited view of the station. We could see the edge of the platform and the tracks but, that was it.

Not soon after, we heard another train approaching. slower this time. It pulled into the station with a screeching halt like the wheels hadn't been oiled in months. We both flinched due to the sound. The train was completely stationary, almost as if it had died or was put out of commission right in front of us. From what we could see with the limited lighting, the train looked a bit rusted and dirty. We noticed that the inside of the train was completely dark and the train doors had yet to open. We both stood away from the train, neither of us wanting to approach.

It felt like an eternity since the train arrived or since anything happened, we both turned and looked at each other for a split second. When we turned back; there were eyes watching us from  inside the train. We couldn't even make out their shapes or figures to even know if they were human. It was at this point the lights in the train had flickered on, causing the eyes to disappear. As if someone had snapped their fingers, the interior lights went out and the eyes had disappeared as if they were never there. Suddenly, there came a hiss. Like hydraulics releasing, and the air pressure decompressing. The doors. Peter and I were quiet, not daring to make a sound. Thinking that even the smallest noise could attract something unwanted. We both side stepped towards the exit stairs.

We both kept slowly and silently side stepping towards the stairs,  hoping that whatever's in the train is remaining in the train. The station became silent once more, it was at this time we realized the banging noises from the utility tunnel had ceased. We both looked towards the door but were met with the sound of metal creaking. The doors to the train had opened and we heard a low growl emitting from the inside of the train. Peter and I made a break for the exit stairwell. Leaving behind whatever was in that station. We had reached the surface and found the familiar sights and sounds of New York.

"How about we just walk? Maybe find a payphone and call the guys at headquarters?" I said to Peter. He nodded and we began walking away from the station. As we walked away, we heard a voice shout from the station.

"You can't hide for ever!" It yelled, followed by the low growl coming from behind us. Peter and I looked at each other.

"Wanna run?" He asked. I nodded and so we did. As far away from that area as possible.
