Y/N's P.O.V

Ethereal Plane

I didn't wake up.

I arrived.

The hallway stretched out in front of me again, candlelight flickering against ancient stone. This time, I didn't hesitate.

I just walked.

I knew where I was going now.

The space opened into the main chamber, alive with quiet conversation. The robed figures sat in small groups, their hoods lowered, their presence calmer than before.

Peaceful.

For once.

I didn't interrupt them.

Manuel approached instead.

"Y/N," he said warmly. "It's good to see you again."

I smiled. "You too."

He gestured for me to follow, and I did without question.

We entered the library, where Jacob and Dorthea stood mid-conversation. They turned as we approached.

"Welcome back," Dorthea said, her voice as steady as ever.

Jacob pulled me into a quick hug.

I returned it.

That still felt strange.

But... nice.

"How is your new ability?" Dorthea asked.

I exhaled softly. "Complicated. I didn't realize how much gets lost between the living and the dead."

They nodded like they expected that answer.

"I did talk to Slimer, though," I added. "He's actually really sweet."

A small ripple of amusement passed between them.

We sat at a nearby table.

Dorthea folded her hands.

"It's time we speak of the past, the present... and what is coming."

Something in her tone shifted.

Heavier.

More deliberate.

I leaned forward.

Jacob began.

"Hekate was not simply a goddess of magic. She governed the unseen. The spaces between. The night. The crossroads. The dead."

His voice carried weight.

"She did not inherit power lightly. It was passed down through blood, through trial, through sacrifice."

Manuel continued.

"She aided Demeter in finding Persephone. And later stood at Persephone's side in the underworld. She walks between realms."

That word stuck with me.

Between.

Dorthea's gaze sharpened.

"And so do you."

They spoke of a kingdom.

Regno del Potere.

The Kingdom of Power.

Even the name felt... dangerous.

"That's where he's from, isn't it?" I asked quietly.

They nodded.

"The one who seeks you," Dorthea said, "was once a prince."

Manuel stepped forward slightly.
