I've recently fallen in love with Duck Dynasty, especially John Luke Robertson. Yeah, I hope you like it <3

....

Grace’s Point of View:

“You look too cute in that dress, Grace. You’ve got to get it,” my best friend Sadie said when I walked out of the dressing room.

I stood in front of the three way mirror and twirled around, letting the skirt swirl with me. It really was a cute dress, and it really did look good on me. I walked back into the dressing room and changed back into my street clothes before walking back out to sit with Sadie.

“My dad just texted me and said I needed to come home for supper. Do you want to come spend the night?” she asked, sliding her purse up onto her shoulder and standing.

“Yeah, let me call my mom right quick and tell her. Then we’ll be on our way,” I said, walking up to the counter and paying for my dress. “And, you know, pay for this dress.”

After I called my mom I saw Sadie hang up her phone as well. I raised my eyebrows so she explained, “I called my brother to come pick us up.”

I felt my cheeks turning pink at the mere mention of John Luke. He was so cute! I know he hardly even knew I existed but that didn’t stop me from crushing on him. I mean, have you seen the boy? His brown eyes and them dimples made me swoon!

“Stop fantasizing about my brother. He’s going to be here soon, he said he was just at the bait and tackle shop down the road with Cole,” she said, sitting down on the curb.

I sighed before sitting down next to her. I was playing with my phone when a black truck pulled up in front of us. Sadie jumped up and I followed, getting into the backseat along with her. John Luke and Cole were sitting in the front, turned around to greet us.

“Hey Grace, it’s great to see you,” John Luke said, making my heartbeat stutter slightly.

“Y-yeah, it’s great to see you too, John Luke,” I said, trying to keep my voice as steady as possible.

“It’s awesome to see you too, Grace!” Cole shouted, making me break eye contact with John Luke and look over at him. He was laughing with Sadie and it made my cheeks turn red.

I sat in the backseat with my arms crossed over my chest, pretty much pouting. I didn’t take getting embarrassed too well. You’d think I would, seeing as I have a brother, but it was different when I had a crush. They didn’t know about John Luke and it was going to stay that way.

“Did Dean ever get that new bow?” Cole asked, trying to change the subject. “He and I are supposed to go shooting later on tonight.”

Dean was my brother and he was a year younger than me. We were really close and went hunting with the Robertsons a lot. He and Cole were in the same grade and best friends.

“Yeah, daddy got us both new ones. We’re probably going shooting tomorrow instead, you can come with us if you like,” I said, twisting the end of my ponytail around my finger.

“That sounds awesome. Do you want to come, John Luke? You’ve been dyin’ to go shootin’ lately,” Cole said, elbowing him as he drove.

He nodded and turned off into the Robertson’s driveway. “That sounds great, as long as it’s okay with you, Gracie.”

The way he said my name made me want to start laughing like a lunatic but I just nodded. “Yeah, that sounds awesome. I’ll tell Dean to meet up with us at about nine in the morning.”

We’d pulled up in front of the house and as I was about to get out, my door opened. John Luke was standing there with his hand held out to help me out of the truck. I took his hand in mine and used it to jump out of the high truck, sucking my bottom lip into my mouth.
