Chapter 17

I I'm thee rest of the holidays were kind of awkward specially if me, Wilmer or Demi were in the same room.. There was always a certain tension between all of us so we decided in coming back a week earlier. Miley and Alfie were a little bit worried with me and Demi since we have been kind of avoiding each other.. not that there's not feelings, at least I'm still crazy about her.. and each day is growing, but because we felt like that fight changed some things we had to figure out.. Wilmer touched a chapter that Demi clearly didn't want to open and it made her feel like she should just stop for a while and calm down..

We had this talk a few days after the New Years party.. it ended well but it broke my heart at the same time because she used the same old excuse everyone uses: "We need some time"

I was worried at first since I felt like she was blocking me in some sort of way or form..

I walked down the stairs and called Elvis, my dog, to take a walk

I put on my headphones and blasted music through them. Watching Elvis run down the road and pulling me along, I couldn't help but get a smile on my face.. he was an amazing dog..

I watched him pull me until he stopped showing me we had a road to cross.. I took him to the beach and set him free to run around and jump into the water.. he, of course, came back jumping on top of me all wet making me laugh

- Elvis stop!! - I laughed as he licked my face - I hate you so much right now.. You smell like shit dude - I laughed

He got off of me and pulled my shirt to him - What?

Elvis turned around and stared at the sea.. I knew he felt like I was not alright

- I know buddy.. it's beautiful..

I stood up and put his leash back on so we could walk back

My phone started ringing so I took it and answerd

- Nick?

I smiled - Hey Demi.. how are you? Are you feeling better?

- Nick we need to talk..

Shit.. - Okay.. - I swallowed the lump in my throat - Where are you?

- At the academy.. Come as fast as you can.. please

I sighed - Okay.. I'll be there in ten..

- Ok bye - she hung up and I started walking towards the academy.. I was extremely nervous and scared she was going to break up with me.. I was so scared I wanted to throw up..

Elvis started running around and it made me laugh.. my best friend

I arrived at the academy walking inside with Elvis.. I called Demi and she answered after the first ring

- I'm here, where are you?

- Room 14.. - she said emotioneless

I sighed and walked through the hall seeing Demi out the door.. Of course, being the disaster I am, I went AGAIN against the locker

The problem is that Elvis started liking my face.. on top of that, Demi came running and laughing - Same old Nick

I chuckled and sat up - Yeah.. They really gotta move the lockers from here.. - I scratched my head opening my eyes - You've been training? - I asked noticing she had her ballet clothes on

- Not yet.. I really need to talk with you

I nodded looking down - Okay.. what do you wanna talk about? - I asked scratching my neck

- Are you okay Nick? You seem nervous

I chuckled - Of course I am nervous Demi.. you call me, tell me "we need to talk" and then just hush me here..
