Ch. 16 You being an Ambassador has its perks

At San Francisco International Airport, in the VIP waiting room, Oliver's gaze softened, feeling and looking relieved that Aurora is doing well, but is also furious that Helen is treating his beloved niece horribly. His dark chocolate brown eyes blinked when she hears a nervous feminine voice greeting him.

" Um. Hello. My name-My name is Mia Thermopolis," Mia nervously greets Oliver.

" Hello, Mia. I am Oliver Sebastian Renaldi. Your father's eldest brother and your Uncle," Oliver kindly introduced himself to Mia.

" I am so sorry if I sound so nervous. You see, I have heard so little about my Dad. So, it is surprised to hear that he has siblings," Mia mumbled.

" It's understandable. Your mother did not tell you much about your father's side of the family. It seems as though she is uncomfortable with who your father is and where he came from," Oliver softly speaks to Mia.

" But, enough about your mother. I can tell you so much about your father if you like," Oliver happily tells Mia.

" Are you his only brother?" Mia asked, sounding curious.

" No. Your father has two older brothers, Pierre James Renaldi and myself. Me, being the eldest, then it's Pierre, and finally, Phillipe being the youngest of the trio," Oliver responds to Mia.

" Cool! It is so lovely to hear that my Dad has siblings. My mom is an only child, so she doesn't have any interesting family history to share with me," Mia sadly sighed.

" You know through me, you have two cousins," Oliver informed Mia.

" Really?!" Mia exclaimed, sounding surprised.

" Yes," Oliver fondly and amusingly chuckled. " Your eldest cousin is Christian. He is eight months older than you and was born on January 25, 1984. Then there is Esperanza. She is your youngest cousin. She is ten months younger than you, born on July 22, 1985," He explains to Mia.

" Cool! I um hope I can um meet them," Mia nervously and excitedly tells Oliver.

" You are family, Mia. You will get to meet Esperanza soon since she and your Aunt Maria will be moving to California once I get settled down in this town. You will probably meet Christian in the holidays, mainly around Christmas time," Oliver tells Mia.

" That's great! Um, Welcome to San Francisco. My mom is here, so Aurora and I um got to go. It was nice hearing from you," Mia nervously and excitedly speaks to Oliver.

" It was lovely hearing from you as well. Oh! Can you perhaps text me your home address when you can? I want to meet you and see Aurora," Oliver kindly asked Mia.

" Of course! I will hit you up with a text message. Bye, Uncle Ollie!" Mia happily says goodbye to Oliver, and she hangs up.

Oliver's gaze softened when he hears Mia calling him 'Uncle Ollie,' the same way Aurora does.

" Ambassador Renaldi," A male voice formally calls out to Oliver.

" Yes?" Oliver turns his gaze to his secretary, bodyguard, and paternal biological cousin, forty-four-year-old dark brown-haired and dark brown-eyed Santiago Mateo Garcia.

" I spoke with Mayor Bryant's secretary, and they informed me that the Mayor found a home for you, so you do not need to stay in a hotel," Santiago formally tells Oliver.

" Wonderful news! Grazie cugino!" Oliver spoke in Italian to Santiago. [Translation: Thanks, cousin!]

Santiago nods his head as he turns around, and he walks away. He then stands beside his men since he and his team are in charge of protecting Oliver due to the older male being an Ambassador and a member of the Genovian Royal family.

Oliver stood there and grinned, feeling thrilled since he can finally settle down and get started with getting custody of his younger brother's eldest daughter, Aurora Renaldi.

" Ah! Santiago!" Oliver shouts, grabbing Santiago's attention.

" Yes?" Santiago responded.

" Did they send you the address?" Oliver asked, sounding curious.

A vibrating sound soon grabs Oliver and Santiago's attention, causing them to hold their phones, and they stared at their devices.

Oliver looked pleased when he sees that Mia text him her home address. He hummed as he figured out that she copied his number from Aurora's phone. He then happily saved his youngest niece's number in his contacts.

" That was Uncle Joe, asking me if we made it safely to California," Santiago calls out to Oliver.

" Ah," Oliver nods his head in response.

" I also got a text message from Mayor Bryant's secretary, and they sent me the address of the house, and they also wanted to let you know that the Mayor sent cars to our destination," Santiago informs Oliver.

" When will the vehicles arrive?" Oliver kindly asked Santiago.

" They should be here right about now," Santiago tells Oliver as a honking sound grabs their attention.

" You being an Ambassador has its perks," Santiago mumbled to Oliver.

Oliver amusingly chuckled.

" I hope being that will give me an advantage for Helen to allow me to get custody of Aurora," Oliver softly speaks to Santiago.

Oliver and Santiago then walk out of the VIP room with their men taking everyone's luggage and following them to a 2000 black Cadillac Escalade with police escort in front and behind the vehicle.

" Ambassador Renaldi," The Chauffeur kindly greets Oliver.

" Hello," Oliver kindly greets the Chauffer while Santiago and his men warily stared at their surroundings.

" Mayor Bryant informed me of the situation, and I am here to take you and your men to your home," The Chauffeur informs Oliver.

" Good. Good," Oliver nods his head in response as he watched the Chauffeur open the door, and he then steps inside the vehicle with Santiago sitting next to him.

" The others are going to hitch a ride with the officers, correct?" Oliver softly asked Santiago.

Santiago nods his head in response.

Oliver softly yawned, which Santiago noticed.

" You are getting jet lag, Primo," Santiago amusingly tells Oliver. " You should rest," The younger male worriedly tells his older cousin.

" I cannot relax," Oliver mumbled.

" I need to make sure my wife and daughter get here safely and for me to get custody of my eldest niece," Oliver firmly tells Santiago.

" Your wife and daughter should be arriving at San Francisco soon, the latest, tomorrow. Don't worry. I have faith that you will get custody of the soon-to-be Crown Princess of Genovia," Santiago fondly smiled at Oliver as the car begins to move and drive away from the Airport.
