Ch. 25 I'm not your Sweetheart

Three hours and a half later, two limos arrived at the Thermopolis' residence, and the chauffers parked the vehicles on the sidewalk in front of the old firehouse.

" That house looks like an old firehouse?" Emmanuel amusingly asked himself while looking at the Thermopolis' residence from inside the limo.

Mia akwardly stared at her feet.

" It is," Mia mumbled, looking and feeling embarrassed.

Aurora uncomfortably stared at the old firehouse since her first memories of Helen resurfaced into her brain. She looked away, and her chocolate brown eyes blinked when she sees the window behind her open so that fresh air can hit her in the face. She silently looks at her surroundings, and she blushed when she sees Hugo with his finger on a button, which lets her know that he opened the window for her.

" Thank you," Aurora mouths out to Hugo.

Hugo nods his head.

Alastor hummed when he hears Oliver's voice in his earpiece informing him to let Mia out of the limo.

" Lady Thermopolis. Your Uncle request for you to go to the house so that you can get your cat and belongings," Alastor tells Mia.

" Okay," Mia nods her head.

Jaxon, who was close to the door, opened it for Mia, and he helps her get out of the limo.

Mia stepped out of the limo, and she blushes, looking and feeling embarrassed when she sees neighbors eyeing her from their homes. She looks away as she turns her gaze to the first limo, seeing the door closed, which lets her know that Oliver is still inside.

Holly worriedly stared at Mia from inside the limo.

" Oh, I hope she gets out of that house safely," Holly worriedly tells everyone.

" The Little Princess is a feisty one. My gut tells me she can handle herself against the woman who gave birth to her," Emmanuel reassured Holly.

Aurora looks away from the window as she silently glanced at Mia, who started to walk towards the old firehouse.

' Dad. Please don't let that woman hurt Mia because of me,' Aurora prays to herself as she watched Mia ring the doorbell, and she bites her lips when she sees the door opened, revealing her so-called mother, Helen.

Mia stood there as her chocolate brown eyes intently stared at her birth mother, Helen's chocolate brown eyes.

" Mia! Oh, goodness! Where were you? I for sure thought you would come home not wanting to be at the same place as that wretched girl," Helen grabs Mia by the arm, and she pulls the young teen into the old firehouse, unaware of two limos parked in front of her home.

" I am fine," Mia pulls her arm away from Helen's grasp as she begins to walk towards the stairs, feeling determined to get Louie and her belongings and get out of the house.

" Where are you going?" Helen turns to Mia, and she sees her daughter walking towards the stairs.

" To my room, I have to get Louie and pack my things," Mia firmly tells Helen as she begins to walk up the stairs to her bedroom.

" What do you mean pack your things?" Helen asked, looking and sounding concerned as she begins to follow Mia up the stairs.

Mia enters her bedroom, and she was about to close the door, but Helen stopped it with her foot.

" Look!" Mia sternly stared at Helen.

" I do not have time. I need to get my stuff and go. Aurora is waiting for me," Mia sternly tells Helen.
