The sun was setting, the small light from the moon was shining through their room. Nolan and Lucy were sitting on their bed. "Hey Luc, I wanted to ask you something," Nolan said, sitting up a little straighter. Lucy put her phone down, giving her attention to Nolan. "So, Damian talked to me about something," Nolan started. He was nervous, and it was evident in his body language. He was fiddling with his fingers and wouldn't look Lucy in the eye.

"Damian wants to take down the League of Assassins, and I was wondering if you wanted to come?" Nolan immediately ducked his head after asking the question. Lucy looked at Nolan in shock for a few seconds. "If you're serious, I'll come," Lucy answered. Nolan looked up, meeting the girl's eyes. He let a smile slowly flow onto his face. "Really?" Lucy laughed at Nolan's disbelief. "Of course, when I said I was on your team, I meant it. I'm here for the long road, baby," Lucy laughed while grabbing her phone. Nolan blushed at the term of endearment.

"It's dangerous, and you would have to learn how to fight," Nolan explained. He waited for Lucy to back out, but she just looked up and smiled. Lucy laughed, "Nolan, I said I'm in. I'll learn how to fight." Nolan smiled, leaning forward and kissing the tip of the girl's nose. He leaned back and looked at her. "I love you," Nolan blurted out. When he realized what he said, he panicked. He had never said that to her before. Was it too early?

Lucy just smiled. It was the brightest smile Nolan has ever seen. It was full of love and happiness. "I love you too," Lucy smiled, laying her hand on top of Nolans. Nolan ducked his head yet again, trying to cover the blush on his cheeks. Lucy just giggled before picking up her phone again. Nolan looked up to the girl. Maybe it was too early to say he loved her, but it was true. Nolan had never felt like this towards anyone. He loved people before; he loves the people in this house, but not like this. It was different, and he liked it.

On the opposite side of the house, another 'couple' was having the same conversation. Layla was sitting with Sam, watching some cheesy romance movie. Sam has yet to ask Layla about come with them. Layla was a normal girl, and she wasn't involved in any of this. Did Sam want to drag her into this? He sucked it up and decided to at least ask. "Layla, you want to take down the League of Assassins with me?" Layla's head snapped away from the movie, starring at Sam. She looked shocked, maybe a little confused. "What?" Layla asked, sitting up from her comfortable position.

"Do you want to take down the League with me, with us?" Sam asked again. Layla seemed to be shocked into silence, so Sam continued. "Damian came up with this big plan, and we wanted to know if you would join us?" Layla looked at Sam before smiling. "So we would be like, superheroes," She said, whispering at the end. Sam smiled at the girl's excitement. "Kind of, more like people trying to stop a bad guy," Sam explained. Layla laughed at the boy. "That's literally the definition of a superhero."

Sam laughed and nodded, "I guess we are heroes then." Layla sat up, "Would we have costumes? Or what about those names, to hide our identities, would we have those!" Sam couldn't stop a smile; the girl was so excited. "We haven't gotten that far ahead. We would have to ask Damian, but I imagine we would," Sam said. Layla bit her lip, trying to hold back her excitement. "God, I always wanted to be a superhero," Layla laughed, laying down on the bed. She dreamily sighed while starring at the roof. "You live beside Batman's son, isn't that cool." Sam snorted, brushing any loose hair out of the girl's face.

Layla smiled, "Yeah, I feel like I'm in on a big secret." Sam laughed, "We all feel like that." Sam smiled at the girl that was lying down. She looked so happy to be apart of something big. "This is so fun, and it feels like my life was so boring before this," Layla joked, throwing some extra hair off her shoulder. Sam laughed, "It's just going to get crazier." Layla smiled and nodded, throwing her hand onto Sam's leg. "I know. Frankly, I can't wait for it to happen."
