Chapter : 43

Hope fell the moment she reached there.

Hope's Pov

I was rubbing my eyes as the sudden burst of light affected them. Let me see how this haunted, ruined house looked like a few years back. The old lady told me that neither government nor private organisations or anyone wanted to buy it.
If it's that much illegal house then I should get out of it as soon as possible.
But I've to come right back here to get back to my time.

Wait! Did I actually even jumped back? Where am I? what date is it? *Hope muttered as she tried to open her eyes*

That wasn't the sudden burst of light. The whole house is emitting neon blue light What's this smell? This house still stinks, even four years back, with so many broken tools *Hope coughed as the smoke of burned papers covered the room and a few things were still on fire* What kind of house is this? It's so strange. What are these tools? *Hope touched it and dropped it immediately as it was very hot*

Oh my God, Is this house got burned today? That lady told me...How is this possible? What timeline is it? *Hope said being panicked*

Wait my video camera changes time automatically according to the places. *She said and opened her bag*

College documents? Brochure, my files, my passport. What the hell...
That's not the bag I wanted. *Hope said nervously*

Mom told me once to buy different bags for different things. I never listen to her.
Hope you're so stupid, go and buy more black bags and mess things up, come on! *Hope said annoyingly*

Hope began panting as the smoke was making everything blurry and it was getting really hard to breathe.

This house has no windows, I thought it's the biggest benefit for me as it's easier to get some privacy for my work. I totally regret it now*Hope said angrily whilst coughing*

She pulled the door but it wasn't opening. Hope knocked it and screamed for help but no one was there to listen.
She started panting and coughing heavily as the smoke wholly wrapped the room.
Hope dropped her bag as her eyes were closed because of the smoke. She was trying to find a way to escape from that place.

Hope was breathing heavily while looking for a safe area by touching the walls to use it as a guide for the exit. She was about to pass out and knock over the nearby wall which had a gate and fortunately, it was opened as she fell in a room, which was smaller than the other one but it saved her from choking*

Hope took a deep breath and continued to breathe heavily.

I thought I was about to die *She said and sighed*

The room wasn't filled with smoke but it was gradually coming inside another room as well.

Hope's Pov

Just a little longer Hope. Barely a few more min are left and I will get back to my time. I'll take my video camera with me this time. I think... I think it worked. That lady told me that this house was burned and it is burning now, which means I'm in 2019, I'm not sure if today's Feb 8 or not but I'm here. Dad, please wait for me, I'll be back. I'll be back really soon. Wait for your daughter Hope.

Wait! What's inside this desk?*Hope said*

Hope touched it as it was a little hot but tolerable. She tried to open it but it was locked. She took one of the parts of equipment which was quite sharp and slammed it on that desk with all strength as it was already melted it didn't need much force to break the lock.

Seems like it was on fire *Hope said*

She searched for crucial things to make sure to take back a few things with her to research later. A photo card fell when her glance paused on the nearby locker.

Gotcha! You'll have a lot of information*She said and walked towards it*

Password? Really? Okay let's try
P A S S W O R D as password. Let me assume that the person who lives here isn't very smart.*Hope said and pressed the buttons but it didn't work*

Why everything is locked here? *She said annoyingly*

Her watch started beeping as only five mins were left.

Thank God!! Only Fi...*She didn't finish as she heard a noise*

She slightly opened the door and peeked through it.

Who's he?*She whispered when she saw the silhouette of a man*

The man entered inside and looked around...

Uncle Sam? *Hope said as he looked in her direction but she quickly hid and closed the door*

Hope's POV

What is he doing here? He must have got the message. He'll scold me really bag if he'll find out that I'm here. Wait! He knows that I'm here, that's why he's here.
What time is it? There is still a few min. left according to the timer I set in my phone then what is he doing here?

She slightly opened the door again and peeked at him.

Wow! Did he dye his hair? He looks so young. *She said*

Or maybe!!!*Hope was about to jump out of excitement but covered her mouth.

I jumped back in time, yes *Hope said ecstatically*

Oh no! My bag, God! It's burning, Why did I leave it there? I'm so stupid, I'm doing so many mistakes today!
*Hope said*

Uncle Sam shouldn't see it, I don't exist in 2019. I can't let this happen. My college documents are there. *Hope said whilst panicking*

She sneaked out silently hiding behind the equipments which were still hot.

She slowly reached towards her bag successfully and put the other hand on one of the equipments for support to grab her bag from a distance.
Unfortunately, the equipment was still hot as she reddens her hand while grabbing her bag and her passport fell because of the sudden tug.

Ouch! *She said quietly and didn't notice that something drooped off from her bag.

She was about to get back to another room but noticed Sam coming towards her.
She took small steps and hid behind the showcase. The smoke was completely gone as Sam left the door open but the fused lights and their constant blinks were making it difficult to see anything clearly as it was still safe for her to be there at that moment.

A passport? *Sam said looking confused whilst Hope was peeping at him from a distance*

What the hell? *He said while looking at the passport and put it in his pocket*

"Maybe I'll get something in his locker, he must have left something valuable in there".*he muttered*

Hope's POV

I should've gone by now, what the hell is happening? My watch beeped... Then what's the matter. Oh, God! I don't wanna be here. Please help me. Carina was right. I should have waited for her. No one knows where am I. And mom...
She closed her eyes as a drop of sweat rolled down her head.
